7月に好きだったVtuber MV// Vtuber Music Video I Liked in July

I started this 'note' article because I wanted to convey my passion and interests in Vtuber music. I am currently writing monthly, noting down any MV that I really liked. The order of the MVs do not mean anything, as it may just be in chronological order. I am not musically trained, so I won't be doing any technical review. The only criteria is that I liked the MV.

I don't know who might read these articles, but if I was even able to get one person to discover a new song or singer, I'd say it's a great day.

はやく夜へ (水槽) / covered by Chérie.

ぜろちゃんとうりんちゃんのデュエット歌ってみたはとても素晴らしいです。これは非常に暗い曲であるため、元々の不気味な感じを捉えることができました。うりんちゃんのクリアな歌声から、ぜろちゃんのささやきへの変化は、デュオをユニークにする非常に素敵なタッチです。

Zero and Urin's duet cover of the song is very amazing. They were able to capture the original eerie feeling, as it is a very dark song. The change from Urin's clear singing to Zero's whispering is a very nice touch that makes the duo unique.  The cover also followed a new(?) design, which help build on the whole feeling of the song.

Be the light / PRISM Project

2周年記念に、PRISMはTeddyLoidと共同で、すべてのエージェントの素晴らしいユニークな声を強調する素晴らしいオリジナル曲を作成しました。曲自体は非常にキャッチーで、ハイプされたEDMスタイルのビート、チルなローファイのトーン、クールなラップの間で移行します。オリジナルのグループ曲に添えるMVも非常によくできており、各シーンが意味深く、曲の調子に合っていました。彼らがソニー・ミュージック・グループの経験を活用できたのは素晴らしかったです。

For their second anniversary, PRISM collaborated with TeddyLoid to create an amazing original song that was able to highlight all the agent's amazing and unique voices. The song itself is very catchy, as it transitions between a hyped EDM style beat, chill lofi tones, and cool raps. The MV to accompany the original group song was very well done too, as each scene was meaningful and matches the tone of the song. It was great they were able to leverage the experience of the Sony Music Group.

Blue Pool / Natsudaidai feat.遠坂ソニア

ソニアさんのVOCADUO2023の曲は、VOCADUO2023に捧げる140曲のプレイリストの最初の曲でした。アーケードの音を持つエレクトロニックポップは非常に楽しく聴くことができました。バブルの効果音は全体のプールのテーマに貢献しました。ソニアさんの声はかわいく、やりすぎていなかったため、曲と一緒に非常にリラックスした効果を生み出すのに役立ちました。

Sonia's VOCADUO2023 song was the first of my 140 song playlist dedicated to VOCADUO2023. The electronic pop with an arcade sound was very fund to listen to. The bubble sound effects contributed to the pool theme overall. Sonia's voice was cute and not overdone, which helped create a really relaxing effect with the song.

FLASHBACK(相対性理論) / covered by それ故

それ故さんのユニークなささやき声は、この曲の歌ってみたにぴったり合っています。感じがとても柔らかいにも関わらず、各単語が非常に力強く歌われる方法。歌手の感情とこの曲への愛は、彼女自身のユニークな方法でオリジナルを再現するための彼女の献身を通して感じられます。曲の後半部分での自己バッキングは、曲全体の雰囲気に貢献する非常に神秘的な感じを作り出します。MV自体が4Kで描かれているので、テレビで見るのは楽しいものです。

Soreyue's unique whispery voice is perfectly fit for the song cover. The way each word is sang with so much strength despite the feeling being so soft. The singer's feeling and love for the song is felt through her dedication to replicate the original in her own unique way. The self-backing in the second part of the song creates a very mysterious feeling that contributes to the overall mood of the song. The MV itself being drawn in 4K is a treat to watch on TV.

Regret / モナミブルー feat. 朝比奈こん

こんさんのVOCADUO2023への参加は、私が泣きたくなるような美しい感情的なオリジナル曲をもたらします。遅いスタートで、曲は感情のつむじ風になるように加速します。こんさんの美しい、クリアな歌声に伴う歌詞は悲しみと後悔のものです。伝えたいメッセージは、聴き手のすべての繊維に徐々に染み込んでいきます。ただ座って集中して聴きたい曲です。

Kon's participation in the VOCADUO2023 comes a beautiful and emotional original song that makes me want to cry. With the slow start, the song picks up to become an whirlwind of emotion. The lyrics that accompany Kon's beautiful and clear singing voice is one of sadness and regret. The message it wants to convey just gradually seeps into every fibre of the listener. It's a song I want to just sit back and focus on listening to.

Growing / 桐谷こむぎ feat.yuzen

こむぎさんの3.5年間の私たちへの贈り物は、彼女がこれまでに成し遂げたすべてを素晴らしい振り返りです。 "成長"というテーマは、MVのあらゆる部分で顕著です。歌詞、彼女の歌、3Dの振り付け、MVから、こむぎさんがこの期間にどれだけ成長したかが分かります。曲の途中で数年前の彼女のストリームのフラッシュバックが現れたとき、彼女が決してあきらめず、成長し続けていることを知って、感情的になります。歌の歌詞のように、こむぎさんは周囲のすべてを取り込んで少しずつ成長しています。

Komugi's 3.5 year gift to us is a wonderful lookback on all that she has achieved. The theme of "Growth" is prevalent in every part of the MV. From the lyrics, her singing, the 3D choreography, and MV, you can tell how much she has grown over this time. When the flashback of her streams from years ago showed up halfway through the song, it makes me emotional to know she's never given up and is continuing to grow. Like the lyrics of the song, she's growing little by little by taking in everything around her.

七色の夢 / 七宮 ソウ

音楽的に訓練されたソウさんにとって、彼女のオリジナルの歌はブロードウェイのミュージカルからのもののように聞こえます。美しく、力強く、優雅で、彼女のすべての能力を展示しています。高音と長い音符の組み合わせは、彼女が舞台でこの曲を歌い、劇場全体に機器なしで聞こえるような雰囲気を作り出します。歌詞自体も非常に美しく、適切で、彼女の歌への情熱と愛を捉え、それをみんなに伝えようとするものです。

For the musically trained Sou, her original song sounds like something out of a Broadway musical. It's beautiful, strong, elegant, and showcases all her abilities. The high notes mixed with the long notes really creates an atmosphere she can sing this on stage and have the whole theatre hear it without any equipment required. The lyrics itself is very beautiful and fitting, as it captures her passion and love for singing and attempts to convey it to everyone.

Turning Point. / 雪乃イト feat. Hanon

HanonさんのVOCADUO2023への参加は、予想外の驚きでしたが、それでも素晴らしいものでした。完全に英語で歌われる曲を期待していなかったので、母国語のように発音が完璧でした。この曲自体は、2000年代初頭のアヴリル・ラヴィーンの曲を思い出させます。ロックスタイルのインストゥルメンタルと、彼女の感情と人生や社会に対する軽蔑について歌う非常に素晴らしい女性のヴォーカルがあります。反抗的な感じが、曲、ヴォーカル、MVの間で完璧に捉えられています。

Hanon's participation in the VOCADUO2023 is a pleasant surprise, but amazing nonetheless. I never expected a song to be sang fully in English, and the pronunciation are perfect like a native. The song itself reminds me of Avril Lavigne's songs from the early 2000s. You have a rock style instrumental, and a very amazing female vocal singing about her feelings and disdain about life and society. The rebellious feeling is perfectly captured between the song, vocals, and MV.

アオアザ / 夢羽九 with 托 a.k.a. Tokky

夢羽九さんとTokkyさんの間で非常にクールなデュエット。二人の間の高速ラップは彼らの代名詞的なスキルの一部です。二つの声の対比が、曲に非常に新鮮な感じを保つ素敵なダイナミックを作り出します。曲を聴いているときに私がどれだけ興奮しているかが大好きです。

A very cool duet between Yumeba Ku and Tokky. The high speed rap between the two is part of their signature skills. The contrast between their two voices create a nice dynamic that keeps the song feeling very fresh. I love how hyped up it makes me feel when I listen to the song.

「观星者」スターゲイザー Stargazer/ Akie秋絵

Akieさんの7周年記念のためのオリジナル曲は、美しい中国語の歌です。彼女がそれらをどれほど美しく、感動的に歌ったかによって、各単語がどれほど影響力のあるものであるかが感じられます。彼女のリスナーのために書いたこの歌は、彼女にとって空に輝く星のように、いつか会えることを願っています。全体的なMV、イラスト、歌詞、曲が完璧に一緒に働いて、素晴らしい星空のイメージを作り出します。

Akie's original for her 7th anniversary is a beautiful Mandarin song. Each word feels so impactful with how beautiful and emotional she sang them. The song she wrote for her listeners, who shine like stars in the sky for her, hoping to one day meet. The overall MV, illustration, lyrics, and song work together perfectly to create an amazing starry image.
