絵画教室の先生が引退されました。

皆さまこんにちは。蒸し暑い天気が続きますがいかがお過ごしでしょうか。本日はわたしが通っている絵画教室についての記事です。

Hello, everyone. How are you doing in this hot and humid weather? Today's article is about the art class I attend.

N先生にご指導いただいた最後の作品

先日、わたしが去年の8月から通っている絵画教室で、長年にわたり絵の指導をなされていたN先生（91歳）が引退されました。先生から教えを受けることができたのは、わずか1年未満でしたが、第二次世界大戦を経験し、半世紀以上にわたって情熱をもって油絵の制作に取り組んできた作家の方に絵のご指導を受けられたことはわたしにとってとても幸運でした。9月には京都で作品展もあると伺っておりますので、先生がこれからも精力的に絵を描き続けていかれることを心から願っています。本当にありがとうございました。

Recently, the art teacher Mr. N(91 years old), who had been instructing painting for many years at the art class I have been attending since August last year, retired. Although I had the privilege of being taught by him for less than a year, I consider myself fortunate to have had the valuable experience of learning painting from him who had experienced World War II and passionately engaged in oil painting for over half a century since the post-war era. I have heard that he will be an art exhibition in Kyoto in September, and I sincerely hope that he will continue to actively paint. Thank you very much indeed.
