The decision to make Vietnam my home stems from a deep appreciation for its culture and language. In 2016, during a university program visit, I was captivated by the fluency of Vietnamese students in English, despite my own struggles with the language at the time. Witnessing their proficiency sparked a desire within me to immerse myself further in their environment. Determined to understand their linguistic prowess and cultural nuances, I embarked on a sabbatical year from my university studies to pursue education in Vietnam alongside local students. This journey not only enriched my language skills but also provided invaluable insights into the vibrant tapestry of Vietnamese culture.
