Kyoto Diary #2 #Kurama #Kibune
Hello,again. It's Teacher Asuka.
Today, I'll tell you my last trip to Kyoto part 2. I hope you'll enjoy reading my 2nd diary.
The above photo is the long-nosed goblin.You can see it in front of Kurama station. Because of the weight of the snow in winter 2016, the long-nose was broken. You can see the picture below.
The picture above is being repaired .
After visiting Machi-ya, an old-style housing near the Kyoto station in my previous diary, I went to Kurama-dera Temple which is located nothern part of Kyoto-City by Kyoto municipal Subway, (which is Underground in British English) and Bus. Although it was around 1:30pm in August, I felt much cooler than the downtown, or citycentre area.

Kurama-dera Temple is famous for its nice view as well as Yoshitsune's Swordplay Training area. Yoshitsune is a younger brother of Yoritomo who was built Kamakura Shogunate.
Going through the entrance gate of Kurama-dera Temple, I saw a mountain path and walked along for a while.
This is the entrance gate of Kibune-Jinjya Shrine.
I had to walk many winding mountain paths led to Kibune-Jinjya Shrine. When I reached this Shrine, it was around 5:00pm. I walked a lot from Kurama-dera Temple to Kibune-Jinjya Shrine!
You can draw a special fortune (we say it 'omikuji') at the Shrine. After drawing it, you put it on the surface of the water prepared and you can see several sentences on the surface of omikuji. My omikuji was written as ’Sho-kichi’,which is 'slightly good luck'.
