Kobe Sketch 2 (Kobe's attractive spot)
Hello, everyone. How are you today? It's Teacher Asuka.
Today, I'll introduce you another Kobe's attractive spot, which is called 'Nankin-Machi', a famous China town in Kobe.
On the way back from Meriken Park to the north, you'll find the place. It's also located between Meriken Park and JR Motomachi station.
The year 2018 was the 150th anniversary of birth to 'Nankin-Machi'. It has been a long history.
It seems there are many tourists from overseas as well as school trip from various areas of Japan. If you were here, you would feel like staying at some cities in China!
In my previous column, I showed you the city of Kobe is famous for its port. Therefore, it seems cityscape, food, culture as well as people have been influenced by such foreign way of thinking and the way of living.
Moreover, you can find a british-style cafe near here. In such a cafe, the owner patissie who have learned genuine british sweets in UK will serve us original handmade sweets below.
Of course, they are delicious.
You can also find another various types of cafes, shops for sweets, or breads, and select shops around this area. I'll recommend you to visit one of them!
What I like most about the city of Kobe is such an international atmosphere, the view of the city, and last but not least, lots of sweets in Kobe.
