ジネーブラの肖像画は正方形に近い板の画面に描かれている。絵は正方形だがおそらく損傷で絵画の底部が切断され、ジネブラの両腕はなくなっていると思われている。

さて、ここからが私の解析です。この絵の下方が切り取られていたと言う事を聞いて俄然興味が湧いてきたわけですが、以前はさほどこの絵を好きという訳ではありませんでした。何か機嫌悪そうな、そっけない表情。まぁあえてこの絵に興味を持ったのは向かって左の眼（彼女の右目）は完璧センターに描かれていることくらいでした。反転させて貼り合わせて50%透過すれば分かります。
これはこれでスゴイ発見だと自負していたわけですが、今回この絵が切り取られていたと聞いて興味津々でした。
この絵を観てお気づきの方もいると思いますが、これはこのデッサンではないでしょうか？

Well, here is my analysis. I was curious because I heard that the bottom of this painting had been cropped. I didn't like this painting. She has a grumpy expression. The only thing that interested me about this picture was that her left eye (her right eye) was perfectly centered. You can tell by inverting and pasting them together so that they are 50% transparent.

仮説ですがもしかしたらこれは受胎告知から出産までの妊娠数か月のマリヤではないかと思うのです。そう考えれば、この表情は不機嫌な顔には見えなくなります。運命を受け入れ神の子の母として生き抜こうとする緊張感漂う表情でなないかと思うのです。
When I forget that this painting is a "portrait of Ginevra de' Benci", I feel a strong will or determination from the expression of this woman.
