借りたものをかえす

僕は日本のうたが好き。
僕の国フィリピンも含めて、アジア地域ってヒットする曲はたいていがラブソング。
とても美しい曲がたくさんある。
だけど…
日本の曲には、いわゆるメッセージソングでステキなものが多い、って感じるのです。

最近、教わったものでグッときたのは、
「花の名」BUMP OF CHICKEN
♪同じ苦しみに 迷った
あなただけに 歌える唄がある
僕だけに 聴こえる唄がある♪

そう、同じ思いを抱いたもの同士にだけ、聞こえるメッセージって絶対ある。
そしてだから広がっていくし、それを広げるために、音楽やアートは必要な手段なんだって思うのです。

僕も、ギターを弾き、唄をうたう。
届くべきだれかに、
響きあうひとに、
届いたらいいな、と
そういえばいつも、おぼろげに願いながらひいている。

そして、「花の名」の歌詞、
♪生きる力を借りたから、生きているうちに返さなきゃ♪
これには強く、強く、共感します。
借りっぱなしにして生を終えたくない。
ご恩を感じるひとにはちゃんと返していきたい、
時間がかかっても。
それができる、強い自分になりたいと願う。

I like Japanese songs.
Most of the hit songs in Asia, including my country Philippines, are love songs.
There are many very beautiful songs.
However…
I feel that many Japanese songs are so-called ”message songs” that are wonderful.

What I learned recently was that
"Flower name" BUMP OF CHICKEN
♪ there's a song
Only I, who chose you
From among all the others, can sing
There's a song that only you
Can hear♪

Yes, there is absolutely a message that can only be heard by those who have the same feelings.
And that's why it spreads, and I think music and art are necessary means to spread it.

I also play the guitar and sing.
To someone who should reach
To the people who resonate with each other
I wish it arrived
Speaking of which, I'm always praying vaguely.
