Christmas Eve 
the smell of wood
in my both palms

街灯に夜空のにぶる十二月
December
the night sky is hazy
with streetlamps

夕されば蚕の咀嚼音しきり
Evening is quiet
with the only sound
of the silkworms chewing

蛸壺を干す穴なべてわれを向き
Drying out octopus pots,
the every hole
looks towards me

朝凪の透きたる汐を聴くばかり
In morning calm,
just listening
to the sounds of the clear tide

露に露触れて大きくなりにけり
Dewdrops
touche each other
and grow larger

芒原より注ぎ込む暗き河
Pouring in
from glowing field,
the dark river
