この軸の「裏ワザ」。カニに喩えた自分の横行自在!? 【一茶庵 稽古追想】 The "back trick" of this axis. Compare your own rampage to a crab !?

江戸時代は、“シャレ文化” が横行し生活の中に溶け込み楽しまれていたようである 。言葉あそびが盛んに行われていた。

During the Edo period, it seems that the “fashionable culture” was rampant and blended into our daily lives. It seems that word games were actively performed.

とくに関心が高かったのが、妖艶で淫靡な世界を想像させてくれる俳句や川柳。作者は、俳句を詠む際に、「裏ワザ」で妖艶な意味をもたせ、楽しんだといわれている。

Of particular interest were haiku and senryu, which remind us of a bewitching and lewd world. It is said that the author enjoyed the haiku by giving it a bewitching meaning with "back tricks" when writing haiku.

この掛け軸(写真)に描かれているのはカニの絵。なんの変哲もないが、違和感を持つとすれば、大きく書かれた、絵にはそぐわない書体の文字。
「横行自在到月宮」。実に目を惹く。目を惹かせるためにあんな書体で書いたのだろう。

"Rampant free arrival moon palace". Really eye-catching. I think I wrote it in such a typeface to attract the eye.

この季節、月の夜、産卵にあがるカニを表現している軸に見える。これがこの時期に掲げられるのは、極々当たり前の飾りである。が、これを描いた人は、もしかしてカニに喩えた自分の行動を表現したようにも想像できる。つまり、月宮に喩え、遊女のところにあそびに行った自分の横行自在を伝えたかったのかも知れない。ただ、本人しか分からないことではあるが・・・。
遊びごころで「裏ワザ」を使ったのかも知れない。そんな掛け軸の話に盛り上がりながら、秋の夜長、「雁がね」を楽しんだ。
