「e-よこ」秋のイベントの下見。大塚善章さんと一緒に開平小学校へ A preview of the "e-yoko" autumn event. Go to Kaihei Elementary School with Zensho Otsuka

「e－よこ会活動シリーズⅠ」に引き続きシリーズⅡは、いささか古い話ではあるが、2007年に開催した中央区今橋にある開平小学校でのコンサートについて振り返ってみるとー。

Continuing from "e-Yokokai Activity Series I", Series II is a little old story, but looking back on the concert held at Kaihei Elementary School in Imabashi, Chuo-ku in 2007.

船場といわれる地域にあった大阪市立愛日小学校と大阪市立集英小学校が、都心部のドーナツ化による児童数の減少に伴い、1990年に統合され、集英小学校敷地に開平小学校が誕生した。
この小学校は何度か東横堀川水辺再生協議会(e-よこ会)のイベント会場として使わせていただいている。市立なのだが、私立のような学校である。大阪のビジネス街のど真ん中にある博物館併設の小学校である。(博物館については後日紹介します)

Osaka Municipal Aijitsu Elementary School and Osaka Municipal Shuei Elementary School, which were located in the area called Senba, were integrated in 1990 as the number of children decreased due to the donuts in the city center, and Kaihei Elementary School was born on the site of Shuei Elementary School.
This elementary school has been used several times as an event venue for the Higashi-Yokobori River Waterside Regeneration Council (e-Yokokai). Although it is a city, it is a private school. It is an elementary school with a museum in the middle of Osaka's business district. (I will introduce the museum later)

伺ったときにまず驚いたことに、小学校に1920年作のスタインウェイのピアノがあるのにビックリ。ホール見学と調律を兼ねて伺った。今回は2人のクラシックアーティストをお迎えして行う。
e-よこ会のメンバーでイベントではいろいろとご協力いただいている、ラジオのパーソナリティーをしておられる紀平真理さんのご紹介で、パリからのお客様である。一人はピアニストの木野真美さん。もう一人がソプラノ歌手のマーシーメスさん。このお二人のクラシックソプラノライブである。「花と子供たち」がテーマで開催されたことを覚えている。そのメロディーをスタインウェイが奏でる。小学校のホールで歌っているとは思えない歌声が響いた。

When I visited, I was surprised that there was a 1920 Steinway piano in the elementary school. I visited the hall and tuned it. This time we will welcome two classical artists.
This is a customer from Paris, introduced by Mari Kihira, a radio personality who is a member of the e-Yokokai and has cooperated in various ways at the event. One is pianist Mami Kino. The other is Marci Meth, a soprano singer. These two classic soprano live concerts. I remember that the theme was "Flowers and Children". Steinway plays the melody. There was a singing voice that I couldn't think of singing in the elementary school hall.

コンサートの一カ月前に、会場視察やピアノの調整に同行していただいたのが、紀平さんのご主人で関西ジャズ協会の会長でジャズピアニストの大塚善章さん。スタインウェイが奏でるジャズを聴きながら束の間の贅沢を楽しませてもらった。

One month before the concert, Mrs. Kihira's husband, the chairman of the Kansai Jazz Association, and jazz pianist Zensho Otsuka accompanied us to the venue inspection and piano adjustment. I enjoyed the fleeting luxury while listening to the jazz played by Steinway.
