お茶を訪ね宇治・萬福寺へ。「全国煎茶道大会"月見の煎茶会<追想Ⅰ>」　 Visit tea and go to Manpuku-ji Temple in Uji. Tsukimi Sencha Demonstration "

初めての宇治・萬福寺。大阪から京阪電車を乗り継いで行ってきた。
ブログで書き綴っている「煎茶入門」。大阪の煎茶の宗家「文人会一茶庵」に7月から通い始めている。その一茶庵の佃一輝宗匠から月見の煎茶会のご案内をいただき、昨日その会場である宇治の黄檗山萬福寺を訪ねた。
茶会は午後2時からということで、せっかく宇治を訪ねるのだから世界遺産に登録されている平等院へ、と朝から出掛けた。平等院の話は次回にまわし、ここでは “四方山茶話” を綴ってみたい。

The first Uji Manpuku-ji Temple. I took the Keihan train from Osaka. "Introduction to Sencha" written on the blog. l started attending the Sencha Soke "Bunjinkai Ichichaan" in Osaka in July. Ikki Tsukuda, a master of lssan, introduced me to the Tsukimi Sencha Demonstration Party, and yesterday I visited the venue, Obakusan Mampuku-ji Temple in Uji.
Since the tea Demonstration starts at 2:00 pm, I went to Byodo-in Temple, which is registered as a World Heritage Site, in the morning because I will be visiting Uji. I will turn to the story of Byodo-in next time, and here I would like to spell out "Yomoyama Tea Story".

10月3日、十五夜。この日にあわせ月見の煎茶会なる「第54回全国煎茶道大会」が京都宇治・黄檗山萬福寺で行われた。入門講座仲間と待ち合わせ萬福寺へ。着物姿の女性たちがぞろぞろと三門をくぐっていた。
私にとっては場違いの雰囲気を感じたが、永年図々しく生きている筆者には興味津々に思える光景だった。どんなことが始まるのだろう。
今回は10の煎茶道流派が参加している。この黄檗山萬福寺には全国煎茶道協会の事務局本部があり、近畿地区や全国の流派が集まり、年に数回煎茶道の大会が催されている。持ち合わせているチケットで３つの流派のブースに入席でき、お手前を観てお茶をいただける。

It felt out of place for me, but it seemed intriguing to the author, who has lived for many years. What will start? This time, 10 Senchado schools are participating. This Obakusan Mampuku-ji Temple has the secretariat headquarters of the National Senchado Association, where schools from the Kinki area and the whole country gather and hold several Senchado demonstrations a year. You can use your ticket to enter the booths of the three schools, and you can see the front and have a cup of tea.

最初に入席したのが黄檗売茶流という席。煎茶道会館の一角にある有声軒という部屋と庭を使って披ろうされていた。お庭に椅子が約20席余り、お手前が一番よく観える処へと思い座った席が正客席。何にも知らないものの強さ、って言うのはこのことか、と。
それを知ったのは、解説される方が常に私に向かって声を掛けられる。男が少ないせいなのか、ええ歳したおっさんだからなのか、と思いきや一緒きていた方から渡邉さんの席もしかして"正客の席???"
いまさら言われても。まぁ、とっさの開き直りは慣れたもの。いかにも煎茶を知り尽くしている顔をしながら解説の方へ笑顔を返していた。目の前でお点前されたお茶がまず私のところへ。

The first seat I entered was the Obakubaisa Tea School. It was performed in a room and garden called the Yuseiken in a corner of the Senchado Kaikan. There are about 20 chairs in the garden, and the seats where you can see the best are the regular seats. Is this the strength of something I don't know? The one who knows it is always called to me by the commentator. Watanabe-san's seat may be "regular customer's seat ???" from the person who came with me thinking that it was because there were few men or because it was an old man. Even if I am told now. Well, the quick reopening is something I am used to. She smiled back at the commentary while making a face that knew all about Sencha. The tea served in front of me first came to me.

特に茶の湯のような作法は求められないので助かった。ただただ飲み干した。飲んだ湯呑は煎茶にしてはいささか大きい。流派が違えば作法も道具も違う。眺めていると湯呑の裏に金粉の塗られた菊の御紋が入っていた。
眺めていると、解説されていた方が私のところへこられて説明をされた。
後に、その時のことを思い出せない、頭が真っ白になり覚えてないのである。菊の御紋ということだけは耳に残った。由緒のある道具というのだけは、なんとなく私にもわかった。

It was especially helpful because I didn't need a method like the tea ceremony. I just drank it. The hot water I drank is a little big for sencha. Different schools have different methods and tools. When I was looking at it, there was a chrysanthemum crest painted with gold powder on the back of the bath.
When I was looking at it, the person who was explaining came to me and explained it. Later, I can't remember that time, my head was blank and I couldn't remember. Only the chrysanthemum crest remained in my ears. Somehow I knew that it was a venerable tool.
