【オーストラリアワーホリ】有効期間ギリギリでRSA取得／セカンドビザのためいちごファームで働いてきます！ I just barely made it my RSA / I'm going to work at a strawberry farm for my second visa!
ギリギリ魂を発揮して取得したRSA RSA obtained just in time
オーストラリアのホスピタリティ産業で働く人なら必ず一度は考えるRSA（酒類販売資格）の取得。
Anyone working in the hospitality industry in Australia must have thought about obtaining an RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) at least once.
お酒を扱う仕事の方がお給料もいいこともあり、前々からとりたいなと思っていて、12月上旬にオンラインの資格取得講座に申し込み、受講を始めました。
I had been wanting to get it for a while since jobs selling alcoholic beverages pay better, and in early December I registered for an online certification course and started taking it.
ところが、全然忙しくなかったにもかかわらずずっと放置していて、気づけば3月・・・（笑）
However, even though I wasn't busy at all, I neglected it for a long time, and when I realized it, it was March. lol
2月上旬に「あなたの講座の残り期間は1ヶ月です」と通知が来て、そろそろやるかぁと重い腰を上げて取組み、講座の有効期限が切れるちょうど1週間前に無事修了することができました！
In early February, I received a notice saying that I had one month left in the course, so I decided it was time to give it a try, and I successfully completed the course just one week before it expired!
いろいろなオンライン講座があり、わたしが受講したのはこちらのサイト。
There are various online courses available, and I took the course at this site.
サイト上の教材の順番に従ってポチポチ、自分のペースで進めていくことができます。
You can just follow the instructions as given materials, so you can proceed it with your own pace.
計7ユニット、7つの小テストをクリアしたら、最終テストへ進めます。
Once you have completed a total of 7 units and 7 tests, you can move on to the final test.
この最終テストでは満点をとるまで挑戦し続けなければならず、結構時間がかかりました。
I had to keep trying until I got a perfect score on this final test, and it took quite a long time.
その後は2つのシチュエーション（酔っぱらったお客さん、酔っぱらって攻撃的になっているお客さん）に応じた対応をビデオにレコーディングし、提出するというものでした。
After that, I had to record a video of my responses to two situations (a drunken customer and a drunken, aggressive customer) and submit it.
最後、電話でのロールプレイテストがあると聞いていたのですが、（州によるのかな）こちらは特にありませんでした。
In the end, I was told there would be a role-play test on the phone, but (I guess it depends on the state) there was nothing in particular.
ビデオを提出してわずか約1時間後、合格通知書がメールで送られてきて、無事にRSAを取得できました～！！
Just about an hour after submitting the video, I received a letter of passing by email and successfully obtained my RSA!
価格は$25でした。
The price was $25.
そして・・・ファームジョブが決まりました～！ And then... I got a farm job!
オーストラリアに来て約半年。
I have been in Australia for about 6 months.
何の迷いもなしに、セカンドビザ取得！の一択なので、何としてでもビザ申請対象の仕事を探さなければいけません。
Without any doubt, I want to get a second visa! So I had to find a job to apply for the visa no matter how hard I had to do.
周りの友達や経験者の方から、とにかく「余裕をもって行動したほうがいい」とアドバイスをもらっていたので、4月中旬からスタートするつもりで、約2か月前の2月中旬から仕事探しを始めました。
I had been advised by friends around me and people with experience that I should act with plenty of time to do so, so I started looking for a job about two months ago, in mid-February, planning to start working in mid-April.
オンラインでの仕事探し、不安でいっぱい・・・ I was anxious to find a job online...
なかには直接ファームに行ってレジュメを配る人もいると聞きましたが、車のないわたしはオンライン1本勝負。
I heard that some people go to farms and hand out resumes in person, but without a car, I decided to just try to find a job online.
ありがたいことに、わたしの親友がすでにセカンドビザを去年取得していて、彼女が参考になるサイトや探し方のポイントなど、いろいろ教えてくれたので本当に助かりました。
Thankfully, my best friend had already obtained a second visa last year, and she helped me a lot by giving me some useful information about websites and how to search for a job.
わたしが見ていたサイトは、おもにFacebookのグループと日豪プレス、時々seekやindeedなんかもチェックしていました。
I mainly looked at Facebook groups and the Nichigo-Press, and sometimes I also checked out Seek and Indeed.
オンライン、特にFBでの求人は詐欺なども多いと聞いていたし、信用性に欠ける投稿もいくつも見かけていたので、「これは果たしてちゃんとした仕事が見つかるんだろうか・・・？」と早くも心配に。
I had heard that online job postings, especially on FB, were often scams, and I had seen some unreliable postings, so I was already worried about whether I would be able to find a decent job.
そしてもう一つの大きな心配点は「ファームジョブ求めている人が多すぎる」こと、そして彼らを見る限り「かなり仕事探しに苦戦している」ことでした。
Another major concern was that there were "too many people looking for farm jobs," and from what I saw of them, they were "struggling quite a bit to find work".
1か月以上探しているけどいまだに見つからず・・・と言う人もたくさんいて、焦りが大きくなっていきました。
Many people said they had been looking for over a month and still hadn't found anything, and my anxiety increased.
そんななかで、日本人コミュニティのグループで、日本人女性がかつて働いていたいちごファームの仕事を紹介されていたので、すぐに連絡先のマネージャーにメッセージを送り、働きたい意志を伝えました。
Then, a Japanese community group introduced me to a job at a strawberry farm where a Japanese woman used to work, so I immediately sent a message to the manager and expressed my willingness to work there.
すぐに返事が来て、経験の有無やいつから働けるか、アコモデーションが必要かどうかなど質問されました。
I received an immediate response and was asked about my experience, when I can start working, and whether or not I need accommodations.
3月中旬から収穫シーズンが始まるが、正確な日程が決まったらまた連絡するねと言われその日は連絡終了。（2月28日）
He told me that the harvest season starts in mid-March and he would contact me again when the exact dates were set. (February 28).
その3日後（3月2日）に、「3月10日以降で来られる？」とメッセージが来ました。
Three days later (March 2), I received a message that said, "Can you come after March 10?".
バイト先や家のオーナーへの連絡等もあるので、「3週間後の3月24日から働き始めることはできる？」と質問したところ、「問題ないよ。それではあなたのためにポジションを空けておくね」と言われました。
Since I have to tell it to my boss and the owner of the house, I asked "Can I start working three weeks later, on March 24?" He replied, "No problem".
実際に働くファームの写真や住むことになるお家の写真、会社の公式サイトのURLなども、その日に送ってもらいました。
He also sent me photos of the farm where I would actually work, the house where I would live, and the URL of the company's official website on the same day.
正直かなりスムーズに話が進んでびっくりしています。
To be honest, I was surprised that the conversation went quite smoothly.
また何より、同じ日本人による紹介の求人だったので、安心感があります。
And most importantly, the job was introduced to me by a Japanese person, so I felt very secure.
まさか自分が人生でイチゴ農園で働くことになるとは。
I never thought that I would be working at a strawberry farm in my life. lol
人生でなかなかできない経験だと思って、大変だとは思いますが、すべて楽しんでいきたいと思ってます！
I think it is an experience that I can hardly have in my life, and although I know it will be hard, I want to enjoy every moment of it!
