There is another category in translation, that is, intersemiotic translation, which is translation between different sign systems.
I believe adding this category would lead to strong impact to translation studies, because this can involve problems regarding translatability.

Are there any borders between something traslatable and untranslatable?
Technically, there is no difference, I assume.
However, there is a border within individual's mind.
Take, for example, poems, musical script, texts including humour and the like.
These cannot be translated without adding or cutting information.
It give rise to the problem that the original text and target text are the same texts?

The concepts of intersemiotic translation would bring about solution.
We always need to grasp the background of the original text, other than meaning.
