君と歩んでいきたいな〜Slide Away(by Oasis) 和訳その①〜

イギリスのロックバンドOasisにSlide Awayっていう曲があるんですが、
“slide away”っていう言葉自体色んな意味で取れるんですよね。

Slideは滑り込むという動詞だから置いておいても、
Awayの意味が色々とれる。
Slide away from here かもしれないし、
Slide away from me かもしれない。
というわけで、
主にこの二つの解釈で2通りの和訳を作ってみました。

独り言

和訳してみると、なんだか、相手のことが好きなのにストレートに好きって言えない感じが琴線に触れますね。ちょっと切ない感じのリアムの声も最高。切ないからこそどっちともとれるというか。切ない声でも、歌詞と合わさるといい感じにひたむきなポジティブソングとも思えるわけですね。Oasisってラブソングがほぼないことで有名ですけれど、僕はこの曲こそラブソングだと思うんです。

“dream of you”って、「君を夢に見る」だけでは物足りないきがしませんか。ネイティブは愛している人に”dream of me”なんて言ったりするそうで、まあつまり、”dream of you”って、ある意味”love you”な気がします。

そして、肝心の”slide away”ですが、away from here=今いるところから離れる、と取りました。主語がweなので「一緒にここから前へと進もう」とポジティブに訳しましたが、やりすぎですかね。まあ直訳をしたいわけではないので、やりすぎくらいがちょうどいいでしょう。
