英国では22枚目の最後のシングルです。Let me be だと私にかまわないでと言う意味になります。
シングル・ヴァージョンはジョージ・マーティンがプロデュース、アルバム・ヴァージョン（シングル・ヴァージョンより12秒長い）はフィル・スペクターがプロデュース。皆さまはどちらがお好みですか？アルバム・ヴァージョンで聴いて育った私は、間奏のギターソロが強いイメージで、最初はそちらが好きでした。しかしやはり、ジョージ・マーティンがプロデュースしてきたビートルズと言う意味でも、シングル・ヴァージョンの方が、ポールの歌声にエコーがかかり、すっと耳に入り好きになりました。歳を重ねるとともに。
