対面授業：2024年7月4日（木）
大学３年次配当科目の「エネルギー資源論」の科目を本学で担当し始めて，今年で15年になる。2020年から2022年の間は，コロナ禍により，対面授業がフルに実施できずに，オンライン授業を中心に据えて授業を実施した。
苦々しいコロナ禍の特別措置の経験を終えて，大学の授業運営で最も大きく変わったのが，授業のオンライン（授業録画によるオンデマンド受講）活用と，授業時間内での学生のパソコン利用（本学ではBYOD(Bring Your Own Devices)と呼んでいる）だと思う。
私が担当している「エネルギー資源論」の授業は，389人の収容人数の教室で約300人ほどが受講している。本学では全学部において「科目ナンバリング」を実施しており，それぞれの科目の難易度が相対的に分かるようになっている。学内外から閲覧できるように，大学のホームページで公開している。理由は分からないが，私の担当する「エネルギー資源論B」は経済学部の産業経済・経済政策分野で最も難易度が高い科目として配置されている。ただ，近年のカーボンニュートラル，脱炭素，GX人材，サステナ人材への関心の高まりによって，受講生の人数は毎年若干の増加傾向にはある。
今年度の授業から座席指定（個別に配慮が必要な学生は，個別に座席を決定）にすることにしてみた。これは出席率向上と私語防止対策のためである。今のところ，出席率が向上し，私語もほとんどなくなり，驚くほどに効果が出ている。不思議だ。
In-Person Class：July 4th(Thursday)
This year marks the 15th year that I have been in charge of the third-year university course "Energy Resources Theory" at our university. From 2020 to 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to conduct in-person classes fully and had to focus on online classes.
Having gone through the challenging experience of special measures during the pandemic, the biggest changes in the management of university classes have been the utilization of online classes (on-demand attendance through recorded lectures) and the use of personal computers by students during class time (referred to as BYOD: Bring Your Own Devices at our university).
The "Energy Resources Theory" class I am in charge of is attended by about 300 students in a classroom with a capacity of 389. Our university implements "course numbering" across all faculties, which allows the relative difficulty of each course to be understood. This information is available on the university's website for viewing both internally and externally. For some reason, the "Energy Resources Theory B" course I teach is designated as the most difficult course in the field of Industrial Economics and Economic Policy in the Faculty of Economics. However, due to the recent increased interest in carbon neutrality, decarbonization, GX human resources, and sustainability human resources, the number of students enrolled has been slightly increasing each year.
Starting this academic year, I have decided to implement assigned seating (with individual accommodations made for students who need special consideration). This measure is intended to improve attendance rates and prevent talking during class. So far, it has remarkably increased attendance rates and almost eliminated talking, showing surprisingly effective results. It is quite intriguing.
