東京証券取引所がカーボン・クレジット市場を開設：2023年9月23日（土）

10月11日に東京証券取引所が開設するカーボン・クレジット市場で取引されるのは，再エネ活用や森林での吸収によるCO2排出量の削減分のうち国が認証する「Ｊ―クレジット」（排出量1トン単位）が対象であり，当面の注文の受付時間は午前・午後の2回に分かれ，午前11時30分と午後3時に価格が付けられる。

　市場参加登録者は一定の要件を満たすものに限られ，当初の参加登録者数は188であり，金融機関・事業会社・地方公共団体等が参加する。内訳は， 上場会社41者，JPX取引参加者・JSCC清算参加者 14者，J-クレジットプロバイダー 6者，GXリーグ参画企業 66者である（内数，重複あり）。

　当面の課題は，市場価格形成の透明性が期待できるほどの流動性が維持できるかである。

Tokyo Stock Exchange Opens Carbon Credit Market：September 23rd(Saturday)

On October 11th, the Tokyo Stock Exchange will open its Carbon Credit market, where trading will involve "J-Credits" (in units of 1 ton of emissions) certified by the government, representing reductions in CO2 emissions achieved through renewable energy utilization and forest absorption. Initially, orders will be accepted twice a day, with pricing occurring at 11:30 AM and 3:00 PM.

Market participants are limited to those who meet specific criteria, and the initial number of registered participants stands at 188, including financial institutions, businesses, and local government entities. This includes 41 publicly listed companies, 14 JPX trading participants and JSCC clearing participants, 6 J-Credit providers, and 66 GX League participating companies (with some overlap).

The immediate challenge is whether the market can maintain enough liquidity to expect transparency in market price formation.
