Assess my English skills objectively at the moment.(2 months have passed)

Two months have passed since I came to Sydney, and I'm here to describe my current feelings. My English skill is still not perfect, so please be kind and ignore my mistakes.

English skills

After two months, I'm going to assess my English skills objectively.
I feel the most growth in two things.
First, What I feel most right now is that my fear of speaking English has gone. Obviously, my English is not perfect, but when I speak with my host mother, with friends, with customers at work, the fear seems to have disappeared from me.
Another thing I feel I have improved is that I can speak instantly without translation in my brain, as long as it's expressions I use frequently in my daily life.
Initially there was a time lag in responding, but now this is gradually improving, which means that my English brain is slowly building up.
Actually I try to surround myself with English all the time, I listen to English podcasts and music when I am on the move, and I use English audio and English subtitles when I watch something. These would have a positive impact on my English skills to some extent.
I have written good things, but there is still much to struggle.
・I can't understand most of what native speakers say.
・I can't talk about technicalities and details of my story. (limited to familiar stories and expressions)
・I experience time lags when speaking and understanding. and so on…
It's not so much that I don't understand as that I can't keep up with the speed and the difference in accents. It will take a lot of time to overcome this struggling. I need to learn more vocablaries, slang, and pronunciation. I need to get my ears used to it.
In conclusion, I'm just getting used to speaking and using English.
"My English skills are probably good enough for a simple trip."
This is what I concider to be an objective assessment of my English language skills at the moment.
I'm still far from my ideal, but I feel that my English skill gradually growing.

Side story…
I have been reading the US news lately. It gives me more economic, business, and political knowledge, and I can learn real stories about what's happening in the world right now. It's also a fast transmission. The benefits of learning English are not only in communication but also in gaining knowledge I would never have known before.
These are also one of my motivations for learning English. I will continue to learn.

Thank you for reading my blog.
