Butoh Artist in Residence, Taipei 2

道のりは長いようで短い。

It seems a long way, but it doesn't.

今日はウェルカムパーティ、その後にアーティストトーク。他の滞在アーティストさんたちの作品計画を聞いて、社会的な問題意識が高めと感じた。リサイクルとか、差別とか。

I had a welcome party and an artist talk today. I think the other artists had high consciousness about social problems, such as recycle and discrimination.

私は魂に興味がある。見えないものをどのように想像し、どんなふうに信じてきたか。私自身は全然信心深くないのが不思議。

I'm interested in the soul. How do we imagine invisible things and how do we believe them. I'm not deeply religious, but curious.

信じることは、見えないものを見えるようにする。

When we believe something invisible, it becomes visible. 

"Life is pursuing shape" or "Shape is pursueing life"

「形は命に追いすがる」のか？

「命に形が追いすがる」のか？

When someone's shape reminds me my mother who was passed away, my mother is living actually in front of me. 

ふと、誰かの後ろ姿に亡くなった母親を想像する時、その瞬間、私にとってその人は実に母親で、生きている。

The things beyond our sight. The dreams that we are imagining. The things that is invisible but appears.

見えている先のもの。描いている夢。見えないけど現れるもの。

見えないものに囲まれて生きているけど、見えないから気づかない。

We are living with invisible things, but we  can't notice them because they are invisible.
