世界最大の統計調査データプラットフォームでドイツのインフォグラフィクスを紹介しているハンブルク(Stadt Hamburg)にあるStatista GmbHのデータ・ジャーナリスト(data Journalist)のレネ・ボックシュ(René Bocksch)の報告として、フローリアン・ツァント(Florian Zandt)、Senior Datenredakteur(シニアデータ編集者)のマティアス・ヤンソン(Matthias Janson)、マティアス・ブラント(Mathias Brandt)2023年05月08日に、デジタル協会Bitkomによると、ドイツ人の約43％が少なくとも稀にポッドキャストを聴いているという。

ユーザーは幅広いトピックから選ぶことができる。

Statista Consumer Insightsでは、どのジャンルがリスナーの間で特に人気があるのかについての情報を提供している。

調査によると、500人以上のアクティブリスナーの間では、コメディと健康のポッドキャストが特に人気があり、調査参加者のそれぞれ39％と38％がこれらのカテゴリーを聴いていると回答している。

トップ3は、コーチングや心理学のポッドキャストを数多く含む、アドバイスや自己啓発のカテゴリーで占められている。

回答者の約29％がニュース、政治、ビジネスのポッドキャストを聴いており、約27％が映画やテレビに関する実録やエンターテインメント形式を聴いている。
