あらすじ

筆者は先に小説を洋書でよみました。ジェイク役に当時新人のマシュー・マコノヒーというのは、ちょっとイケメンすぎてイメージが少し違いましたが、エレン役はサンドラ・ブロックがぴったりでした。また、腹立たしいほど敏腕の検事役のケビン・スペイシーはドはまりでしたし、悪役が似合うキーファー・サザーランドもいい嫌味を出しています。（こんな役やるの嫌だろうな…。俳優さんは大変だ）
小説は、これが著者のデビュー作とは思えない面白さで、没頭しすぎて駅で電車を降り忘れたことがあるほどです。観てから読んでも、読んでから観ても面白いおすすめの一冊です。映画鑑賞とともに読書もいかがでしょうか？
