親愛なる息子へ

ビッグニュース！

今日は、家族ルームで君と過ごしたよ。

10時から　15時過ぎまで君と一緒だった。こんなにも、長い時間君と過ごせたのは初めてで、本当に時間が過ぎるのが早く感じたよ。
Mamaは、17時くらいまでいたみたい。

家族ルームで過ごす時間というのは、退院前に一通りベビーと過ごし、一通りの流れを(いざという時、看護師さんが近くにいる安全な状態で)把握する大切なものなんだ。　

オムツ替え、ミルク🍼を飲んでもらうことなどはもちろん、薬を作り、飲ませたり、お風呂に入れたり、搾乳したり、というような一連の作業を、Mamaと協力しながらしたんだ！

あ、そうそう、記念すべき日というと大袈裟なんだけど、君のおしっこが　PapaのTシャツに大命中したよ。Papaの友達に話したら、Welcome
to the family  と歓迎されたよ。

Big news!

Today, we spent time with you in the family room.

Papa was with you from 10 AM until a little after 3 PM. It was the first time we could spend such a long time together, and the hours just flew by. Mama stayed until around 5 PM.

Spending time in the family room is really important before you come home. It helps us get used to all the routines with you, knowing that the nurses are close by in case we need help. We did everything today—changing your diapers, feeding you milk, preparing and giving you your medicine, bathing you, and expressing milk. Mama and Papa worked together on all these tasks!

Oh, and speaking of memorable moments, you peed right on Papa’s T-shirt today! When I told my friends, they said, “Welcome to the family!”

Papa and Mama might still have a lot to learn, but we’ll grow together with you.
