親愛なる君へ

今朝は土砂降りだった。

PapaとMamaは区役所に行って、君の住民票と、PapaとMamaの住民票の変更をしたんだ。他にも、マイナンバーのことや、引っ越しに伴う書類の準備などもしたよ。

その後、Papaは仕事だったけど、Mamaは、Papaの両親（君のおじいちゃんとおばあちゃんだね）と一緒に、ダイニングテーブルや食器棚を買いに行ったよ。君が帰ってくるまでに揃えたいという希望があったんだ。（結局、ダイニングテーブルは3週間かかるみたいなんだけどね）

ダイニングテーブルと食器棚、オーブンは、おじいちゃんとおばあちゃんがプレゼントしてくれたよ。

Mamaが、おじいちゃんとおばあちゃんと帰ったタイミングがPapaと同じだったので、4人で夕食をしたんだけど、君の話題で持ちきりだった。

君は集中治療室（NICU）に入っていて、その後、GCUに移動したんだけど、君に会うのが許されているのはPapaとMamaだけだから、本当におじいちゃんとおばあちゃんは君が退院して会えることにエキサイトしてるよ！

Dear Son

This morning, it was pouring rain.

Papa and Mama went to the ward office to change your residence record, and ours as well. We also prepared documents related to the My Number system and the move.

After that, Papa went to work, but Mama went with Papa’s parents (your grandparents) to buy a dining table and a cupboard. They wanted to get everything ready before you come home. (It turns out the dining table will take three weeks to arrive, though.)

The dining table, cupboard, and oven are gifts from your grandparents.

When Mama came back with your grandparents, it happened to be the same time as Papa, so the four of us had dinner together. We couldn’t stop talking about you.

You’ve been in the NICU and then moved to the GCU. Only Papa and Mama are allowed to visit you, so your grandparents are really excited about you coming home and finally getting to meet you!
