Avoid high FODMAP foods

I would like to introduce how I avoid the high FODMAP foods. Your gut health depends on each person and everyone has different condition. So this is my way of avoiding them.

As I have been trying to avoid the high FODMAP foods, I sometimes forget about it and eat what I want. That's what happened the other day. I ate ごま団子, which includes wheat, and あんこ (sweet bean paste). I wanted to eat something sweet, so I bought it at the grocery store with other food for the weekend. 

After a few hours later, my stomach became uncomfortable. It's my own fault but I need to deal with this trouble once in a while. 

My examples of avoiding high FODMAP food

Wheat (pasta, noodles, sweets using wheat) , soy milk, sweet bean paste (あんこ), green peas, yogurt, onions

There may be more high FODMAP foods that actually don't fit my condition. I felt that my condition especially becomes bad when I have these foods above. My bad condition wasn't from allergies, so I was questioning myself why this is happening.

It's stressful to strictly avoid every food that I listed above. And I also feel that it may be even difficult to avoid them especially wheat. So I try to avoid these high FODMAP foods when my condition isn't well. In addition, I try to be careful of the balance of foods I eat. 

My way of avoiding high FODMAP foods is just one way. There may be other good ways to keep balance of your health and good condition.
