Day 8 Hammurabi's Code of Laws

[Summary]
Hammurabi was a king of Babylonia and the first lawyer in history. Hammurabi issued one of the first written codes of law in recorded history, which spelled out the rules for his citizens and the punishments for lawbreakers. The code itself was extremely cruel by modern standards and reflected the superstitions of its ancient society. He said to the future kings that they must uphold the rules of law rather than govern according to their own impulses. The notion that rulers couldn't arbitrarily change the laws was a revolutionary concept and the respect for the rule of law remains one of the fundamental hallmarks of successful governments.

[Note]
There are always people who are outstanding. People can see what others cannot, people can think in a different way from others, people can act in a way that others never imagine or anticipate. Hammurabi is definitely one of them as he created a law as the rules above the people of authority. I believe no one could understand the concept and what he actually considered. I am just an ordinary person and sometimes wondering like "If I was a talented guy with a superpower..." but realize that those people definitely have agony what we cannot understand and endure, and be relieved again to find myself ordinary.
