October 11, 2022: British Drama, Cleaning UP, WOWOW On Demand （英国ドラマ、「クリーニング アップ」、WOWOWオンデマンド）
WOWOW On Demand added new dramas and films. Among them was ‘Cleaning Up’, which I watched. It is a British drama series with only six episodes. But it gripped me very much. It depicts the life of an office-cleaning woman who dreams of getting rich quickly. As usual, she cleans up the office of a financial company. Then, she catches information on insider trading and tries to make big profits from it.
On the other hand, she is a gambling addict. She plays roulette at an online casino day and night. But she always loses at it and runs up her debt, which breaks the family. However, the experience helps her. It inspires her to try to make a deal with the insider trading conspirators. The drama ends with a surprise.
It was so riveting that my wife and I finished it in two days. It riveted my wife more than me. As she wanted to keep watching it, we watched four episodes on the first day.
WOWOWオンデマンドに新しいドラマがいくつか追加されました。その中から、英国のドラマ「Cleaning Up」を観ました。6回シリーズで比較的短い作品でしたが、めちゃくちゃ面白かったです。一攫千金を狙うオフィス清掃員のドラマです。いつものように、金融会社の事務所を掃除していると、インサイダー情報をつかみ、大もうけしようとします。
彼女はまた、ギャンブル中毒で、昼夜を問わずルーレットしています。でも、いつも負けて、借金を重ねます。その結果、家族離散に追い込まれます。でも、この経験が彼女を救います。これを活かして、インサイダー取引をする連中に戦いを挑むのです。そして、ドラマは驚きの結末を迎えます。
あまりに面白く、6回を2日で見終えてしまいました。ボク以上にはまったのが、妻です。見続けたいというので、初日に4話まで見てしまいました。
