June 17, 2022: Lack of Information on Candidates, Anger, Newspaper Columns （候補者の情報不足、怒り、新聞のコラム）

     Voting in an election, I will check candidate profiles. However, they do not provide me with enough information. Their websites have no detailed information. Neither do they have videos nor voice messages. They hardly show up in my town even during the campaign period.
     They blast their name or their party's name in a loud voice. It is a waste of time and money. They should stop it and deliver their detailed policies and activities online.
     While I am writing this article, I feel my anger well up. In such a case, I read columns in newspapers to contain it. Among them are sports newspapers, like Sankei Sports and Nikkan Sports, which are my favourite. They are more straightforward than national newspapers like Asahi and Yomiuri. They refresh me.

 　選挙の投票の前に、候補者のプロフィールをチェックすることにしているのですが、情報はわずかしか得られません。候補者のホームページには、詳細な情報がありません。また、ビデオや音声もありません。更に、選挙期間中でも、ボクの街にほとんど来ません。
　ただ名前や党名を声高に連呼しているだけです。時間と金の無駄意外の何者でもありません。こんなことは止めるべきで、政策や活動ついてオンラインで詳細に発信してもらいたいです。
　こんなことを書いていると怒りがふつふつと湧いてきます。そんなときは、新聞のコラムを読んで怒りを鎮めています。中でも、サンスポや日刊スポーツなどのスポーツ紙のコラムがお気に入りです。表現が朝日や読売などの全国紙より率直です。読むとすっきりします。
