November 18, 2022：Annual Checkup for My Prosthetic Hip Joint (4), After Checkup)（人工関節の定期検診（4）、検診後）

After the checkup, I wanted to stay in the heart of Tokyo longer rather than return home at once since I had few chances to come there. So, I decided to take breakfast and went to a coffee shop I had often used. But it was closed, and I stopped another one. It was around 9:30 and so early that it had no guests other than me. I ordered a daily special and relaxed for about an hour. After that, I moved to Maruzen Bookstore near the coffee shop. But it had yet to open but had a sale for foreign books and calendars outside the store. There were such many foreign books in the carts that I looked for good bargains and bought two spy novels. Then, I entered and walked around the store for about an hour. It amused me a lot. I found many bestsellers and new books, which helped me see what was happening in the world. It reminded me that I must sometimes visit leading bookstores in the heart of Tokyo.
After that, I moved to LOFT, a household goods speciality store, to buy goods to support my legs and shoes. It was in a Lumine, a fashion shopping centre, and I was surprised to see it so crowded at such an early hour.
It was a very enjoyable day for me!

　こうして、股関節の定期検診を終えました。折角、都内で出てきたので、直ぐ帰るのがもったいなくなりました。そこで、まず、朝食と取ることにしました。以前使っていた店が閉店になっていましたが、別の喫茶店があったのでそこに入りました。朝の9時半頃だったので、お客さんはボクだけでした。モーニングセットを頼んで、のんびりしていました。その後、隣に書店の丸善があったので、立ち寄りました。店は開店前だったのですが、店の敷地で洋書やカレンダーのワゴンセールをやっていました。洋書で掘り出し物はないかと物色しました。そしたら、ボクが好きなスパイ小説があったので、2冊買って帰りました。その後は、店内に入り、1時間ほどぶらぶらしました。ベストセラーや新作が分かり、世の中の動きが分かりました。やはり、たまには都内の大きいな本屋にいかないといけないとつくづく思いました。
そして、その後は、電車に乗ってロフトに移動して、足のサポートグッズを買いました。ロフトはルミネに入っていたのですが、朝から混んでいました。久々に都内を満喫できました。
