October 27, 2022: Koji Nakamoto, the Drifters, Crossing Roads (1) (仲本工事さん、ザドリフターズ、道路の横断（1）)
The other day, Koji Nakamoto passed away at 81. He was a member of the Drifters, a comedy group, and appeared on many TV shows. Among them was "It's 8 o'clock! Everybody Gather Round”, which attracted the audience the most. It hit the highest view rate of 50.5%. He gave acrobatic performances on the show as if he were a gymnast. This past June, I saw him on a TV show, "Sanma no Manma, Early Summer Special." He was on it with his teammates, Cha Kato and Boo Takagi. He looked fine, and I had expected him to make me continue to laugh. So, I had never imagined that I would hear about his death after only four months. It is a great pity. May he rest in peace.
According to the news, he was hit by a car while crossing a road without a pedestrian crossing. But like him, I have often done it, too. At the last moment of his life, he warned me to stop moving across it without a pedestrian crossing.
先日、仲本工事さんが81歳で亡くなった。仲本さんといえば、ザドリフターズのメンバーとして数々のテレビ番組に出演されていました。中でも、ボクが小学生の頃にTBSで放映されていた「8時だョ!全員集合」は圧倒的な人気で最高視聴率が50.5%を記録するほどの人気番組でした。仲本さんは、コントなどで体操選手並みのアクロバティックなパフォーマンスを披露されていました。
また最近では、今年の6月に放映されたさんまさんの「さんまのまんま初夏SP」で拝見しました。ドリフの仲間の加藤茶さんや高木ブーさんと一緒に出演され、元気そうで、仲もよさそうでした。話の中で、加藤茶さんの奥さんが仲本さんと高木さんの面倒も見ているという話は、笑いました。これからも、まだまだ笑わせてもらえると期待していただけに、わずか4ヶ月後にこんなが悲劇が起こるとは残念でなりません。ご冥福をお祈りします。
報道によると、仲本さんは、横断歩道を使わずに道路を渡っていたそうです。ボクも、横断歩道を使わずに道を渡ることはよくあります。仲本さんから止めるよう警告を受けたようです。
