May 18, 2022: iPad, Environment-friendly, Packing Materials （iPad, 環境に優しい、梱包資材）

  Apple has used environmentally-friendly materials to pack an iPad. The outer carton is a plain cardboard box. In the box, there is an inner box containing the iPad. The materials and design for the box almost remain the same as that of the iPad Air I bought five years ago. And, the screen protector is something like white paper and not a film. Paper cable ties are used instead of plastic ones. Apple is determined to remove plastics from its products.

　今回のiPadの梱包も、環境を強く意識したものになっていました。外装カートンは無地の段ボールでした。外装カーンを開けると、iPadが入っている箱を取り出します。この箱の素材やデザインは、5年前に買ったiPad Airから大きな変化はありません。
　そして、画面の保護シートは、フィルムではなく、紙製と思われる白いシートでした。ケーブル等の留め具も紙製でした。Appleのプラスチックを排除しようとする決意を感じます。
