次男と歩く-足首の矯正器具と初めての歯の入れ替わり

次男は脳損傷を得てしまったため、脳神経にそれなりの影響があったのでしょう。
そのことから、足の指が外側に曲がっていたり、足首が内側に曲がるという状況があります。
その足首が内側に曲がるという症状をサポートする為に、足首の矯正器具があるのですが、たった3ヶ月であちこちにひびが入ってしまいました。
元々の素材がやわだったのか、3Ðプリンターの限界なのか分かりませんが、補助金を得ても自己負担が1000ドルを大きく超える代物。
そんな簡単に壊れてしまうというのは困った話です。
そこで、ひびの入った矯正器具をもって相談に行きました。
3か月以内での破損である為、無料で新しい矯正器具に変更が出来るという説明をうけました。
最初の素材では無理であるということが判明し、新たにBC州にあるラボにオーダーするということに。
3週間ほど、ひびの入った矯正器具をしようしておりましたが、日々破損が広がっている状況でした。

6月の終わりに新しい矯正器具が届き試着をしに行ってきました。
多少の調整は必要でしたが特に問題がありませんでした。
この新しい素材の矯正器具が直ぐに壊れないことを祈るばかりです。

新しい矯正器具を受け取った翌日、次男の歯がぐらぐらになっていることに気が付きました。
乳歯の裏側から永久歯が顔を出している様子。
次男には、歯が抜けたら教えてねと伝えてあったのですが。
翌日に気が付いたら乳歯が抜けていました。
次男に、抜けた歯はどうしたの？と聞くと。
「ゴミ箱」
と答えるしまつ。
慌ててゴミ箱を確認したら、小さな乳歯がありました。
理解力も劣る次男ですので、歯が抜けるということに関してあまり理解をしている感じはしませんでしたが、鏡をみて理解をしたようでした。

It is a problem that it breaks so easily.

So we went to consult with them with the cracked orthodontic appliance.

We were told that since the damage was done within 3 months, we could change to a new orthodontic appliance free of charge.

It turned out that the first material was not possible, so we had to order a new one from a lab in BC.

He had been using the cracked appliance for about 3 weeks and the damage was spreading day by day.

At the end of June, we received our new braces and went to try them on.

There were no problems, although some adjustments were necessary.

We just hope that this new orthodontic material will not break soon.

The day after we received our new orthodontic appliances, we noticed that our second son's teeth were wobbling.

Permanent teeth appeared to be peeking out from behind the baby teeth.

We had told our second son to let us know when the tooth fell out.

The next day, we noticed that the baby tooth had fallen out.

We asked him, "What did you do with the tooth that fell out? I asked him.

He replied, "In the trash.

He replied, "In the trash.

When I hurriedly checked the trash can, we found a small baby tooth.

We didn't think he understood much about the fact that his tooth had fallen out, but when he looked in the mirror, he seemed to understand.
