The Tiger and the Raven Logo, and it's strange story.

Today I was doing the concept for a sweater that I want to achieve for a long time. To go with a poem that I wrote during the year.

The poem goes like that :
"Cry Tiger cry,
At the botter of the river,
Where we bury flowers,
In great tombs made of clay…"
And it goes on and on.

But still. I have this image that haunts me for years now of this crying and screaming Tiger, and I wanted to writer about him.
And to draw about him too, as I'm lucky enough to be both illustrator and writer.

Then.
I started to conceptilualise the image that would go at the back of the sweater.
And I came with this huge head of a Tiger and a Raven head with wings above him.
Why the Raven?
Because that's me. Both how people call me and how I feel with myself.

I needed to get on with this project and I did the sketch.
And then, I réalisés that I had already made it years ago.
It's my tattoo parlor logo.

Tiger skull, with wings and a raven skull above.
I had this logo for 6 years and more, now. Raven and Tiger. So I already had the design that was with the poem.

... This kind of moment when all is intertwined. And either you're way too used to work with the same themes over and over again, either you're in the middle of a pattern.
Like a carousel.

Anyway…
I'll draw the logo again. I guess.
And I'll do the sweater nonetheless.
It could be fun.

Cry Tiger cry,
At the edge of the river,
We're the flowers fly,
And die the embers.
And the ravens cry,
Like every hours,
Goes over the fields to find
Your hands held for ever.
