Someone is lamenting,
looking up at the night sky,
saying,
“It's closed with clouds,
not a single star can be seen there”. [*1]
誰かが　夜空を見上げて
嘆いています
「雲に閉ざされ
　たった一つの星さえ　見えない」と。[*1]

Yes,
it is pitch black,
indeed.
And that is all.
そう
確かに
　真っ暗です。
　ただし　それだけのことです。

Whether we can see them or not,
there are countless stars there.
Just as love,
friendship,
goodwill,
and sincerity
are all invisible to our eyes.
私達に　見えようと　見えまいと
　そこには　無数の星が　あります。
愛も
友情も
善意も
誠意も
私達の目には　見えないように。

Your eyes cannot see
even the oxygen,
　you most need,
can they?
あなたの目は
あなたに最も必要な
酸素さえ
見ることが　できませんよね。

Hope is not something to look for.
All the time it is there,
in your heart.
No cloud can cover it,
except for yourself.
希望は　探すものでは　ありません
いつでも　あるものです
