【Inside beBit】Management Department - Hashimoto-san

Inside beBit - A project in which we ask 10 questions about a beBit member's work and personal life. We hope that “Inside beBit” will provide an opportunity to get to know more about the individuals you work with.
In this issue, we asked Hashimoto-san from the Management Department to answer our questions!

1:Tell us about your background
Throughout college, I was a long-term intern at a venture company that provides work and childcare support.
After graduating, I joined a major financial services company and worked on the Digital Transformation for information utilization.
Then, after joining beBit and taking a 3 years leave of absence for reasons such as childcare, I have arrived where I am today.

2:Why did you join beBit?
I valued the fact that everything was focused on being user-centered and achieving “good sales,” and I was very in line with the methods using the power of digital to influence change in Japan and the world.
beBit is my second company, and at my first company I was in charge of product implementation to promote the Digital Transformation for information utilization.
During that time, I experienced how a single product can be the catalyst for organizational change. In 2010, most DX solutions were developed by foreign companies, so I was excited when Japanese products started being developed. I joined beBit because I wanted to contribute to this company’s product.

3:Please tell us about the work you do at beBit
I started off working in what is now known as Customer Success, but am now currently working in the Administration Department, where I am in charge of tasks related to internal operations.
Specifically, I work on legal compliance, regulations regarding personal information in order to prevent information leakage, and activities to maintain the brand value.
These internal regulations have become more and more important over the years, and I manage risks in order to protect the trust that beBit has built up over the years.

4:Tell us one thing you like about beBit
When it comes to time and location, I am able to work flexibly around my private life.
I am very thankful that as long as I produce results (while of course, sharing the important points of my process), I am trusted to make my own work process.

5:What do you do during your free time?
I balance my time with my family (my 5 year old son and my husband) and my personal time. On Saturday or Sunday, I take a break by going to hot yoga or massages, or by enjoying my hobby of checking out interior decor.
I initially wanted to complete all my housework and childcare perfectly by myself, but as it was unrealistic, I outsource as much housework as possible and utilize that time by spending it with my family.

6:Tell us what you value most when working
I am always conscious of how we should behave now in order to have a positive impact on beBit, our clients, and our users in the long run.

7:What is the most memorable or rewarding job you’ve done at beBit?
When I was in Customer Success, I worked with a client on a solution for one of their problems.
I was so immersed that apparently I had been having meetings in my dreams, resulting in my family hearing a lengthy sleep-talked speech…
I was very relieved when my work with the client went well. Maybe it was thanks to my sleep meetings?

8:Who is your role model?
Noone in particular.
However, I try to imitate the good in those around me, including celebrities.
Also, rather than setting a specific role model, I am constantly struggling to figure out how I can be my best self.

9:What year is the most memorable year in your life?
2017, the year my child was born.
It was the year in which my priorities changed dramatically, and it felt like I had entered the second chapter of my life.

10:Tell us about any challenges you would like to attempt
I would like to be able to obtain new information through English sources for not only my current job, but for my hobbies in viewing interior design and for my children’s education as well. In many cases, English is the standard language when exchanging opinions with people overseas, so I would like to learn to understand English freely.
