Ikegaya-san from the UX Intelligence Division

【Ikegaya-san’s Profile】

Department and position: UX Intelligence Division - Account Executive
Year joined: 2021 (July)

■His past career

After graduating with a degree in Sociology from Kansai University, I worked at a system integration company. Roughly 2 years ago, I joined beBit. After working in recurring sales (UX Growth new/existing clients), I joined my current team doing consulting sales for UX design.

■His current role within his organization and the nature of his work

In the mission of my organization, which is to acquire projects and add value to society and customers and achieve sales profit targets, my role is to be a coordinator who builds solutions that society, the client, beBit, beBit’s consultants, and I myself can be satisfied with. Based on this, I perform general sales duties such as business negotiations and proposal reviews.

■What makes his job worth doing

It’s rewarding when customers that we have approached in the past reach out to us again, or when I am able to get a large scale project. I feel that when I accomplish this, I was able to successfully communicate the value of beBit. When I am able to see things in a new perspective, I feel I have grown.

【Daily Schedule】

9:00 Sales meeting
Words from a manager - “I will help in any way I can in order to help our customers.”

This meeting is where we report the status of business meetings and projected sales. While the emphasis is on projected business figures, it is also a place to receive advice on actions that can be taken to help our clients.

10:00 Meeting with customers
Words from a customer -  “We were pleased with your past proposals, so we reached out to you again.“

This is where I work to make potential customers feel they want to work with beBit. We listen to the customer’s situation and present ways to provide them the best assistance we can. We do not typically do generic service introductions. It requires the skill to be able to present the best solution and provide an image of how the project will actually proceed on the spot. (This is something I’m still working on.)

11:00 Proposal preparations, sales plan reviews
Words from the sales leader - “Make sure that things are going smoothly and in the right direction, and that all the stakeholders have been accounted for.”

This is where we come up with the best UX-based proposals for the customer’s success. We coordinate the entire proposal activity with the goal of making sure everyone is affected positively by examining the initial designs of the project and contemplating the best sales plans.

12:00 Lunch
As I work remotely a lot of the time, I have recently started walking the Yanaka Ginza shopping street in my neighborhood to buy lunch.

14:00 Proposal strategy meeting
This is where we discuss collaborative proposals with people from other organizations. The number of things we can do at beBit continues to increase, and the solutions we can provide are becoming more diverse, so it is becoming more and more difficult for us to consider proposals from within just our organization. In some cases, we will ask for the latest knowledge from the other hard-working people at beBit!

16:00 Team Meeting
Words from the sales leader - “Even if you fail, we’ll recover, so keep challenging.”

Here, we discuss daily problems and sales activities. Whether it is a minor concern or a mistake, the team considers the cause of the problem and decides on future actions that must be taken. (Other teams have a tendency to think like this as well, and I feel it’s a great culture.)

Future actions are being discussed by the team.

18:00 After work
I often go out drinking. Other times, I go to movies or ride around on my personal electric kickboard. In addition to going out, I also take the time to secretly read books that were recommended by colleagues.

■Future thoughts and goals
I feel that the people in sales at beBit have a deep understanding of various stakeholders and provide better UX even in their sales activities. I would like to have a broader perspective to be able to deliver the best sales experience to our customers and achieve greater results!
