【Inside beBit】UX Growth Consultant - Iida-san
Inside beBit - A project in which we ask 10 questions about a beBit member's work and personal life. We hope that “Inside beBit” will provide an opportunity to get to know more about the individuals you work with.
In this issue, we asked Iida-san from the UX Growth Consultant team to answer our questions!

1:Why did you join beBit?
I was introduced to the company through a recruiter. I had previously read “After Digital” and was interested in the company, so I decided to see what they had to offer.
I joined the company because I felt I could gain experience in UX design and grow. I related to the company’s user-centered philosophy and felt I could contribute to the company through my previous experiences.
I was also attracted to the atmosphere of the people I spoke with during the interview. I had the impression that those in consulting tend to be a bit dry, but everyone I spoke to seemed warm and friendly, so I wanted to work with them.
2:Please tell us about the work you do at beBit
As a UX Growth Consultant, I help clients improve the UX of their products.
I communicate with managers on a daily basis, work with the measurement team on USERGRAM implementation work, and work with the sales team on client proposals.
3:Tell us one thing you like about beBit
The best part is that there are many great and unique people, but for an answer that others haven’t already stated, I’d have to say the accumulated knowledge of UX within the company.
The fact that I can always access information about the methodologies that beBit has accumulated up to now piques my interest. I imagine it as kind of a “UX Library.”
4:What do you do during your free time?
Going to cafes and relaxing, reading, and watching videos.
Also, there are many events and social gatherings that beBit members plan, so I join from time to time.
The other day, there was an event where we got together and played Mölkky, which I enjoyed a lot! It was similar to a sport called Kubb, which I have been interested in, so I’d love to host a Kubb tournament someday!
5:What do you find rewarding about your job?
The job of “helping clients grow their business through continuous UX improvement” itself interests me.
Every client has their own problems, and consulting services are designed to solve them. While they are not easy to solve, I find it rewarding to think about what needs to be done and how to proceed in order to achieve results, and then executing and delivering results.
It makes me happy when I am able to provide new insights and discoveries to clients in the process.
6:Tell us about your goals at beBit
I want to grow as a consultant, while also contributing to the UX Growth (UXG) organization as well. UXG has expanded rapidly over the past year or two, and there is still a lot of room to grow. I hope to be able to establish a system for myself and my teammates to work more efficiently and effectively.
7:What’s something about you that hasn’t changed since you were a child?
I dislike simple and irrational tasks.
Therefore, I am always conscious of improving efficiency on a daily basis. Recently, it has occurred to me that improving efficiency is also UX design (In the sense of number of users x occurrences x severity of the pain turned into a gain). Recently, useful tools have been coming out left and right, so I would like to incorporate them into my work and my personal life.
8:What makes you the happiest? Or, tell us about when you were happiest recently
I am happiest when I have experiences out of the ordinary.
I love going to places I’ve never been before, and seeing things I’ve never seen.
I have always loved to travel, and I am looking forward to my upcoming trip to an island.
I was not familiar with art, but my wife has recently brought me into contact with it. I am currently exploring various genres!
9:Please tell us about your talent, or anything you are proud of
My friends and I have been playing a very minor card game called “Mori” for the past 7, and I am currently developing a “mori” app with that friend for fun. I have been slacking off on the development, but I’d like to use the knowledge I’ve gained from beBit to improve the UX.
I once made an article about “Mori” on Wikipedia, but it was absorbed into another card game as a local rule. I was very sad.
10:Tell us about any challenges you would like to attempt
I have been interested in the environment, energy, and sustainability from when I was a student, and have always wanted to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society. Someday, I would like to contribute to sustainability as a career, so I will start with something small around me. I was thinking about starting something in April 2023, so I am currently gathering more information.
