ドビュッシー

私がその国を旅立つ前
だいちゃんがご飯に連れて行ってくれた
だいちゃんとふたりきりなんて最初で最後

出会った記念に、と、最後にCDを一枚くれた
ケースの中にはだいちゃんからの詩があった
詩はもちろん自作で英語
だいちゃんの日本語はむつかしいから、英語で助かった
だいちゃんはキザな男

彼がくれたのはドビュッシュー
私に月の光をプレゼントしたかったんだって
彼にとって私はどんな存在だったんだろう

だいちゃん、お元気ですか？

Just few days before the departure,
Dai-chan took me out for a dinner.
It was the first and the last time to be just two of us.

He gave me a CD to keep him in memory.
In the CD case, there was a poem, of course written by him, in English. His Japanese is too difficult to get the real meaning, so I was glad it was in English.
He is a kind of posh.

What he gave me was "Debussy".
He wanted to give me the "clair de lune" piece.
What was I for him, I wonder.
