Happy World Book Day!

3月3日はワールドブックデー！私の小学校のクラスでは、好きな本を１冊持ってきて、みんなでその本の良さについて語る予定です。私の好きな本は、ロアルドダール作「マチルダ」。赤ちゃんの頃から自分より大きな新聞を読むほどの読書好き。４歳の頃には、自分の体と同じくらいの本を膝の上に大切にのせて読んでいました。お気に入りの２つのイラストを児童に見せて、読書好きの彼女はどんな人生を送るのかな…と問いかけてみようと思っています。

今日も一日、笑顔を見るために頑張ろう！

Love these two illustrations, baby Matilda reading the newspaper, bigger than her and four-year-old Matilda absorbed in a book as big as herself. 
I am going to show my children these two pictures and let them predict what would  happen later in her life!

The children are going to bring their favourite book to school and we will hold a book discussion. Cannot wait to see what their favourite books are and listen to their reasons!
