推理小説📘The SWIFTS

伝統を大切にしているけど、不可解な謎も抱える家系・The SWIFTS。いとこ、親戚の名前はみんなユニークなものばかり。その名前は、SWIFTS家に大切に保管されている辞書から名付けられたもので、意味も詳しく書かれていて、SWIFTS家は名前が自分の生き方を決めると信じている様子。でも、主人公の女の子・Shananiganは、これっぽっちも信じていません。探偵気質のある彼女は、大家族の集まりで起こった殺人事件や謎を、理系とファッション好きな２人の姉妹と親戚と一緒に解決していきます。

本のページをめくるたびに、ユニークな性格とバックグランドを持つSWIFTS家の親戚たちに興味津々になり、Shananiganと一緒にジグソーパズルのピースをはめていくような感覚で推理できて、とても楽しかったです。また、自分の名前が持つ意味のように、力尽くで主観的で感情に流されながら事件を解決しようとしていたShananiganが、今回の経験でいろんなことを学習し、客観的に証拠を集め、事件を解決していった成長過程を読んでいくのも楽しかったです。8月にこの推理シリーズの新作も出るようなので、今から楽しみです。

It’s a detective book about some murders of a big family with many traditions and mysteries called ‘the SWIFTS’. All the relatives have very unique names with specific definitions from ‘Dictionary’ and it is believed that they live in their lives in a way the names define. However, the main character, Shananigan doesn’t think so! At the big family reunion, she tried to solve all the murders and mystery in her own way with some support from her two sisters (one loves science and the other loves fashion) and her cousins and uncle :)

Loved reading it because I enjoyed the big twist at the end of the story and it was very satisfying after I read how all the cases were solved, happened clearly and names do not decide people’s destiny! Also, I loved reading the mental process of how maturely, responsibly and sensibly the main character, Shanagigan has grown up unlike in a way her name denines:) Excited to read its next, new book coming in the series this August.
