Mr. Amano's AVOS Application Techniques 3|Lessons using 3D objects, etc.

Hello. Following the previous article "Mr. Amano's AVOS Utilization Techniques 2|Open Every Night!"After School Cafe_AVOS", I would like to introduce 4 more AVOS utilization techniques taught by Mr. Amano.

Classroom with 3D Objects

When you think of Metaverse schools, you think of classes using 3D objects! So, we have prepared a video showing a class using 3D objects at the Wakasa Medical Health & Welfare School, where Mr. Amano works, in the Nursing Care Welfare Department.

The video runs for about 1 minute at the beginning of the following YouTube video. Please take a look.

I cannot actually see or touch the bronchial tubes and heart inside my body, but by using 3D objects, I can observe them in detail from various angles in three dimensions.

Mr. Amano, the teacher, also told me that the students' understanding will be better than with flat teaching materials. The students also put on the VR goggles and said, "Wow! Amazing! and enjoying their participation in the class was very impressive.

I think one of the best things about the virtual classroom is that students can participate in the class while experiencing things they normally cannot, rather than just listening to the teacher's lecture one-sidedly. All the teacher needs to prepare is a virtual classroom and some 3D objects! This system can be used for education in any field. By the way, 3D objects can be found on the Internet.

Support for remote teaching in one step

When running a school, there will be students who cannot commute to school due to sudden illness or family reasons, saying, "I can't go to school today. In such cases, Mr. Amano says, using AVOS, "We can handle remote classes in a single step.

Since the "timetable" introduced in the previous article, "Mr. Amano's AVOS Utilization Technique 1: Improve Learning Efficiency with the Timetable Function" is set in advance, students can log in to the virtual classroom and attend classes from home by simply clicking the day's timetable.

Timetable Screen

In particular, they find it convenient to conduct remote classes immediately and without panic in both cases, even when not all students are able to commute to the school due to Corona measures or when only some students become concentrated contactees and are unable to commute.

And even if students are unable to attend classes, they can access the timetable to view course materials and class videos later, making it easy to follow up with students who are absent.

Hearing Mr. Amano talk like that, if you use the virtual classroom on a regular basis, there are no boundaries between commuter classes and remote classes! I was somewhat happy to hear that students can learn without separation no matter what environment they are in, and that AVOS is great after all.

One more thing. Let me introduce Mr. Amano's recommended LMS (Learning Management System, Learning Management System) function.

AVOS not only allows you to create a virtual classroom in the metaverse space, but also provides LMS functions necessary for school management. For example, teachers can keep track of students' attendance and grades within AVOS. Students can also check their own attendance history and grades.

Mr. Amano fully utilized this function to centralize attendance and grade management, which had previously been done manually in pieces, and succeeded in raising the efficiency of his work dramatically. In addition, by taking attendance immediately after classes, students can now check their own attendance rates almost in real time. This has made it easier for the students to manage their own attendance by checking how many more absences they can take and whether they should go to school or not.

What was even better was that it not only increased the speed of work and confirmation, but also reduced human error. For example, they are now able to avoid human errors such as miscalculating the number of absences by hand or posting scores to different documents. Once you get used to it, you can't go back to the old way," said Mr. Amano is very happy with the convenience of AVOS.

Interview venue

Students check AVOS morning and night.

Mr. Amano, a teacher who has always enjoyed using AVOS. To his students, he says, "The AVOS timetable is a must! Check it every morning and evening!

This is because, from time to time, the school announces changes in the timetable and announcements about classes. Sometimes, notices are posted on the school's bulletin board or sent by e-mail to individual students, but not all students see the latest information.

Mr. Amano uses the AVOS function to send out notices and consolidate the latest information in the timetable so that all students can always catch up with the latest information and prepare for classes and tests. He said, "The AVOS timetable ensures that students always have the most up-to-date and correct information." By consolidating information in this way, we are able to create an environment where students can study with peace of mind, while at the same time reducing the amount of time spent on individualized support, which really kills two birds with one stone.

The number of reasons why students cannot study is decreasing rapidly. All that remains is for the students to study hard. Mr. Amano jokingly said. He is a very nice teacher who thinks of his students. I think he is trusted by students.

Now, the contents of Mr. Amano's talk can also be viewed on YouTube below. Please take a look.

preview of next installment

Over the past four articles, we have introduced Mr. Amano, a teacher in the Physical Therapy Department of Wakasa Medical Health & Welfare School, on how to utilize AVOS. In the next installment, the final in the series, we would like to introduce questions asked by viewers during the interview and Mr. Amano's answers. Please check it out!
