朝起きたら、水道管が破裂していた！

裏の水道が破裂して、水が噴水のように噴き出していると裏の家から朝6時に通報があり、びっくり。いったいいつからこうなっていたのだろうか？
裏の人によると夜中には、変な音がしていたという。うーん。水道代が恐ろしい。

とりあえず、水道栓をしめて、家を断水状態にしておいて、だんながホームセンターに行って、パイプの蓋と接着剤を買ってきてくれた。

大雨の中、接着。こんなもので、本当に、あの水の勢いを止めることができるのか？と不安になり、しばらく、栓を開けられず。近所の友達に、水をもらいにいく。バケツ３つと、やかん、ポットを投入。

日曜日だったけど、家を建てたメーカーに相談して、水道修理の方が昼過ぎにやってきた。

見てもらったら、完璧な応急処置。もう水道屋はいらないくらいという。
水道屋立会いの下、水道栓を開けてみる！！！

うん、完全に水漏れが止まっている！

これで、断水が解除となった。

専用接着剤とパイプの蓋を爆速で買いに行った旦那はえらい。
わたしは、半信半疑で、雨も降っていたし、うまく、接着できるとは思っていなくて、「無理じゃないか」などとネガティブワードを繰り返していた。
ごめんね。

水道屋さんが褒めてくれた。「水道屋さんになれますよ」

お礼におこづかいでもあげよう。

At 6 AM, I got a surprising call from our neighbor. "Your backyard water pipe has burst, and water is shooting out like a fountain!" she said. I was shocked and worried about the water bill.

We quickly turned off the main water valve, stopping all water in the house. My husband rushed to the hardware store to buy a pipe cap and glue.

Even though it was raining hard, he worked outside to fix the pipe. I was doubtful and nervous. Could this really stop the water? I was too scared to turn the valve back on. We went to a friend's house to get water, filling three buckets, a kettle, and a pot.

Even though it was Sunday, we called the company that built our house, and finally a plumber came in the afternoon.

When he checked the repair, he said it was perfect. With his help, we turned the valve back on.

Amazingly, the leak was completely stopped!

Our water was back on.

My husband was amazing for getting the supplies so quickly. I had been negative, saying things like, "This won't work,". I felt bad for doubting him.

The plumber said to my husband, "You did such a great job, you could be a plumber!"

I think I should give my husband a reward for his hard work.
