Bulgaria “Cats”Travelogue~Plovdiv ~(En)

I believe that a town where stray cats are friendly is nice.
 
No matter if I am in Bulgaria or in Japan, I can find that people make smile naturally when they see cats.

That makes me think like that  “The endearment for cats is common all over the world”.   “I will be reborn as a cat…”

The other day, I visited one of the biggest city in Bulgaria, Plovdiv.

There is an ancient Roman theater and we can see a lot of quaint retro buildings in the old town on the hill. 
And above all, it is the place where many cats are living.

Cats travelogue

I encounterd a caramel-colored cat immediately.

By the way,there is  the word “SATORI” written on a stylish signboard which you can see on the left side in this pictures.

When I see this letter, it really looked like Japanese to me because there is a word “SATORI” in Japanese, which means “Inspiration” in English.

Looking inside of the cafe, a man who appears to be an owner was sketching alone.

l could not help but entering the cafe and asking him the origin of the name “SATORI”.

Then, it turned out that he actually named his cafe “SATORI” being inspired from the Japanese word. Moreover he happily told me that opening cafe in Tokyo is his dream. 

It was surprising to me and I felt happy to hear that.

He nicely said to me “Arigato” in Japanese with a smile when saying goodbye.
I did not have time to stay at the cafe this time, but next time I will drink a cup of  coffee in that wonderful cafe.

Next is a chubby cat relaxing on the bench.

He showed me that his occupation is being pet and loved by people.

This cat has cute small hands.

Apparently, these seem to be good friends with each other.
We can see that how they are loved in this town from their happiness-filled body.

In Plovdiv, we always need to open our eyes wide.

By any chance, did we met in front of the SATORI…?

I’m noticed

At the hostel , a stylish cat with a black and white pattern welcomed me.

He went making his guests pet himself.

He seems to succeed.

This black cat must know everything about Plovdiv.

Plovdiv at night

The cityscape of Plovdiv at night is not a downtown, or any shopping street.

It gives me the impression that people lead their life here peacefully surrounded by art.

I wonder if they are waiting for dinner.

When I returned to the hostel, another cat greeted me.

Plovdiv is often referred to in Bulgaria as “The city of the seven Hills”.

In the early morning of the next day, I went to one of them to see sunrise.

This cat may be seeing this beautiful scenery  every morning.

What a lucky cat you are.

The pattern of peeled wall is also cat shaped.

Cats in Plovdiv know being loved

Cats are cats wherever they are.
They are free and moody creature.

And all cats in Plovdiv are happy cats which coexist with people and know they are loved.
