#38 The Sun also Shines [PART3. Spain] ep.XXII "Welcome to Madrid"

 December 24th. The holiday is here. All my friends have left. It's supposed to be a family reunion.

I bought a chiken at the supermarket I always go, and grilled it with herbs. I ate it by myself spending two days. It seems my landlord's family doesn't celebrate the holiday. They are as they always are. My university in Japan sent me a Chrismas card. There's nothing on calendar until my family comes to Spain.

I saw my brothers sitting on couches at lobby. The hotel is right next to the biggest club in Madrid, Kapital.

 As automatic door opens, I met my family after a half month. Ann's face is reminded. She told me no joking when I told her we Japanese don't hug each other or even touch.

Nonody touched me as expected. I felt sad that my exchange is already a half way to go.

I made my mind to think later about an exam right after the holday vacation. It was bit strange for me to stay in hotel in Madrid.

As soon as I entered to a room, I found a bottle of wine on a table. It's not free of course, but it made me feel my parents get paid a lot.

I was happy that this family reunion on holiday is exactly the same as my European friends do. Pretending to be an European felt better than reunion. But we are all humans after all, and we just seek for a way to get comfortable place.
