ひきこもり死の理由は社会的に不適合だからではなく、社会的に不適合だと思いこむ人々の心理が原因である。
決して、"ひきこもり"であるという理由だけで見捨ててはならない。

The reason for the deaths of shut-in is not because they are socially unfit, but because of the psychology of those who believe they are socially unfit.
They should never be abandoned just because they are "shut-in".
It's ok to live.

• 憶えておいた方がよい言葉

1. The reason (why) ～ is because …
   「～である理由は…だからである」
   例文：
   私の娘が学校に行きたがらない理由は学校の先生に彼女のノートの書き方を否定されたからです。
   The reason(why) my daughter does not want to go to school is because her teachers denied her note-taking.

2. socially unfit
   「社会不適合」
   例文：
   A:「俺の友人が子供の頃に社会不適合の診断を受けたんだが、今では有名なピアニストとして活躍してるんだよな。」
   B:「医者無能ワロス」
   A: A friend of mine was diagnosed as a socially unfit when he was a kid, but now he's a famous pianist.
   B: Doctor is incompetent! And I grow plants.

3. abandon
   動詞：「～を捨てる」、「～を途中でやめる」「(abandon oneselfで)快楽や悲嘆などにふける」
   名詞：自由奔放
   例文：
   上司が設けた無謀すぎる納期に間に合わないので、私は仕事を断念した。
   I abandoned my work because I was too reckless to meet the deadline set by my boss.

• 注意

1. "abandone"ではなく、"abandon"

2. 「家で趣味を謳歌する」という意味で「ひきこもり」を表現したい場合は"homebody"もしくは"couch potato"を使用しましょう。
   ただし、"couch potato"は否定的なニュアンスを含みます。
   休日、怠けて、家事を受動的にお手伝い感覚で行うお父さんに言ってみましょう。
