【初ボランティアinクラクフ】

今日、クラクフ中央駅の近くにあるシェルターで初のボランティアをした。

ボランティアの活動内容としては施設内での拭き掃除&掃除機がけをした。

久しぶりの掃除機がけ！

ウクライナの方は皆さん出掛けらていたみたいで直接話すことはなかったが、恐らく現在10人ほどの方が生活しているようだった。

ボランティアの活動時間は自分で決めることができ、用事があったので10:00~12:00まで活動した。

途中、オレンジジュースをもらったりお昼ご飯入るかなど聞かれた。ボランティアする人に対する待遇もかなり良く活動には最適であると感じた。

僕以外にそこのシェルターでボランティアしている職員さんは3人いてどのかたもポーランド人だった。ただ彼らはそこまで英語を話せる訳ではなかったのでコミュニケーションを十分に取ることはできなかった。(コミュニケーションをしやすくするために基本的なポーランド語を学びたいと思う)

2月までは滞在予定なので、それまでウクライナ避難民の方々への少しでも力になれるように活動していきたいと思う。


[First Volunteer in Krakow]

Today I did my first volunteer work at a shelter near Krakow Central Station. As for what I did, I wiped and vacuumed the facility.

I didn't get to talk directly with the Ukrainian people, as they all seemed to be out of town, but it seems that about 10 people are currently living there.

Volunteer activity time can be decided by myself, and I worked from 10:00 to 12:00 because I had something to do.

On the way, I was asked if I would like to get orange juice or have lunch. I felt that the treatment for volunteers was quite good and it was the best for activities.

Besides me, there were three staff members who volunteered at the shelter there, and they were all Polish. However, they didn't speak English that well, so we couldn't communicate well. I would like to learn basic Polish to facilitate communication.

I plan to stay until February, so I would like to do my best to help the Ukrainian refugees until then.
