英作文チャレンジ① Can the consumption of meat be morally justified? (2017年第2回問題)
慣れないながらも，調べ調べ書いてみました。
IntroやBody,Conclusionの展開の方法については，参考書やeigophileの一ノ瀬先生の内容を参考にしています。
誰かに添削して欲しい。
今回のお題は，
Can the consumption of meat be morally justified?
(肉の消費は道徳的に正当化できますか？)
2017年度第2回の本試験問題です。
ヴィーガンではないのですが，あえて「正当化できない」派で書いてみました。
1. 英作文

Intro (23words)
It cannot be said that meat consumption can be morally justified because of its viewpoints of animal welfare, environmental effects, and our health.
Body paragraph 1 (41words)
In the livestock industry, animals are mass-produced like products, and unfortunately, productivity is more emphasized than their life. Animals have emotion and can feel a pain like us. They’re not things. Therefore, animals should be equally treated under the animal right.
Body paragraph 2 (47words)
Also, raising animals have an detrimental effect on the environment. Especially, greenhouse effect of methane gas, which is generated from cattle, is 25 times that of carbon dioxide. At a glance, the consumption of meat isn’t directly relevant to the environment, but it can exacerbate environmental destruction.
Body paragraph 3 (56words)
Finally, the consumption of meat is the main factor that causes disease for people. In fact, many people suffer from lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, colon cancer, and obesity in developed countries by eating meat. These disease account for the bulk of the disease burden. So, reducing the amount of eating meat provides benefits to public health.
Conclusion (33words)
Although I can partially understand the thought of eating meat, I believe the consumption of meat can’t be morally justified because of three points of view, animal welfare, environmental effects, and our health.
2. 内容と構成
（導入）
肉の消費は，動物福祉，環境への影響，そして私たちの健康の観点から，道徳的に正当化できるとは言えない。
（本論1）
畜産業では，動物は製品のように大量生産されており，残念ながら，命よりも生産性の方が重視されている。 動物には感情があり，我々のように痛みを感じることもある。 動物は物ではありない。 だから，動物は動物の権利の下で平等に扱われるべきだ。
（本論2）
また，動物の飼育は環境に悪影響を及ぼす。 特に，牛から発生するメタンガスの温室効果は二酸化炭素の25倍だ。 一見すると，肉の消費は環境に直接関係していませんが，環境破壊を悪化させる可能性がある。
（本論3）
最後に，肉の消費は人々に病気を引き起こす主な要因となる。 実際先進国では，多くの人が肉を食べることで，糖尿病，大腸癌，肥満などの生活習慣病に苦しんでいる。 これらの病気は，疾病負荷の大部分を占める。 したがって，肉を食べる量を減らすことは，公衆衛生に利益をもたらす。
（結論）
肉を食べるという考えはある程度理解できるが，動物福祉，環境への影響，そして私たちの健康という3つの観点から，肉の消費は道徳的に正当化できないと思う。
導入で3観点の提示，結論は「逆の考えへの譲歩」〜3観点のまとめを意識して書いています。
合計200語とギリギリの語数ですが，内容はまとまっているかな，と。
やはり自分で少しでも書いてみると，頭への入ってきかたも違います。
効率を取るべきか，努力を取るべきか。限られた時間の使い方の判断は難しいですねぇ…。
肉食容認の考えだと，
・我々が生きるため，タンパク質をとるために仕方ない
・食物連鎖
・娯楽でなければ容認されるべき
などが考えられるでしょうか。
これからも，少しずつ自分で書く機会を増やし，英作文力を高めていきたいと思います✨
