【18】The little prince

"What I'm looking at is only a shell. What's most important is invisible..."

I think this is the main theme of this story, but it`s not so easy to understand this statement. We are accustomed to feel comfortable with praised, behaving as king, or adding numbers, and we claim "I'm a serious man!". We grown-ups usually become the slave of vanity, and suffer from such trivial things. Probably, we cannot avoid these agony in recent state, but we can take a rest for a little if we learn the mind of the little prince.
As for me, my sense of value is not so matched with that of society. I'm not so interested in earning money, establishing some position in the community. I want to seek something beautiful, valuable things, which is not to be taken care of in the society. However, someday I will have to modify my sense of value to match the request of society.

I know the kind of people who is similar to this little prince. They are scientist. They don't stop questioning "trivial", but important things. I met one person who wish to "learn the truth of this universe", his purpose is even not only to become a physicist. His attitude towards physics is so hot and once his question was yielded he doesn't stop thinking of it. He was remarkable person and I often remind him with some deep impression. That attitude is necessary, if I engage the job connected with physics. Truth is always invisible, and we have to seek it enthusiastically, for the happiness of human beings.
