別の家を下見した

今回はタウンハウスだったが、互いの住居が密接しているというだけで、独立した家のようなもの。

2階建てで、1階がリビング＋キッチン＋予備のトイレ、2階にベッドルーム4つとバスルーム2つが揃えられた、レイアウト。

庭は無いが、綺麗なパティオがある。

ロケーション的にも、ダウンタウンへ1時間ほどで通える電車の駅まで徒歩20分と、ゲストを泊めた際にも、不便さが無い（ゲストたちに自ら行動してもらえる）。

私も妻も即、気に入ったので、明日には銀行とも連絡を取り、他に買い手が付く前に逸早いイニシャルの支払い（5%といっても、数万ドルはかかる）が出来ないかを伺うことにする。

また不動産屋から、このタウンハウスを売りに出した、オリジナルの家主に手紙を送って、印象を良くするのも勧められた。

まるで面接後のお礼状（Thank You Noteと言い、コッチで面接を受けた後の常識）みたいだが、さっそく私と妻とで、以下のような手紙を書いてみた。

Dear Homeowner,

We would like to take this opportunity to compliment you on your beautiful home. We got married recently and have been looking for a place to begin the next chapter of our lives together. 

When we saw your home, we fell in love with it immediately. We really like the ample space for the living and dining areas. The upgraded kitchen and bathrooms are fabulous, and we love the covered patio. As we plan to have children in the near future, it is wonderful that this home is close to schools and parks. We believe that this is a perfect place for our future children to grow and thrive.

We would be so excited to raise our family here and spend many wonderful years sharing good times and creating memories. Thank you so much for your consideration.

早ければ数日以内には回答が得られるだろうし、そうなれば、現在の借家は30日前に通知すればいつでも退去可能なので、11月と12月いっぱいを使って引っ越しを始め、2017年1月から新生活、となる。

現在住んでいる街からも、電車で20分+徒歩も含めて1時間以内に辿り着けるし、遊びに来るひとたちにも不便は無い筈。

色々とこれから、楽しみが増えそうだ。
