連休が終わり、無事に朝目覚めることができてほっとしています。なぜか昨日はウーバーイーツのアルバイトをしていて、翌朝の注文をキャンセルしないといけない夢を見ました。#なんでこんな夢？
I am so relieved to wake up early because this is the first day after a long summer holiday.I dreamed last night that I would have to cancel the next day’s order as a deliverer of Uber Eats.

さて、皆さんはいかがお過ごしでしょうか？毎週月曜日はOUCHI de Japaneseを運営しています。日本人と海外の人が、あるテーマについてワイワイ話し合う会です。
毎度のことながら、テーマから派生していろいろな話ができるのが楽しいです。韓国旅行の時、経験したクッパしか頼んでいないのに、他にも副菜がいっぱいついてくる感覚です。

How are you doing, everyone?I organize OUCHI de Japanese every Monday.In this meeting both Japanese and people from abroad enjoy chatting about some topic.
We enjoy it because the topic goes into depth every time as if we can get extra side dishes even though I have just ordered Korean rice soup.

昨日は「忘れ物」について話していました。当初考えていたのは、

・最近みなさんは忘れ物をしますか？

・どんなものを忘れたことがありますか？

・みなさんの国ではどんな忘れ物が多いですか？

・日本では忘れ物は持ち主の元に返ってきますが、みなさんの国ではどうですか？

・日本では傘の忘れ物が多いです。また、あまりものは盗まれないのに、傘は時々盗まれることがあります。　みなさんの国では、置き忘れているものは盗まれますか？などでした。
We talked about “lost item” yesterday.I prepared questions 

 •Do you forget to bring anything recently?

•What have you ever forgotten?

•What kind of item is often left?

•In Japan the lost items come back to the owner but how about in your country?

そこから派生して、「歯と骨の意外な共有点」を見つけました。

#歯も骨の一部かw

The topic goes into deep and I found the point in common between tooth and bone.

それはよく忘れ物になっているということです。骨の忘れ物とは厳密に言うと、遺骨です。なんと、JRの車両内の忘れ物ランキング上位に遺骨がランクインするらしいです。どうやら、遺骨をどう保管すれば、いいかわからない人が、押入れの奥に仕舞い込んだり、ワザと電車に忘れたりするそうです。The part in common is that people tend to leave both of them. The bones means ashes cremation.I was surprised to know that ashes cremation ranked highly in lost items in the JR line.People seem to leave them on the train or Japanese closet intentionally because they don’t know how to keep them.

このワザとということにびっくりしました。確かに、遺骨を保管する場所もお金がかかるし、
どうすればいいか分からなくなる気持ちも理解できます。

I was so surprised that the person intentionally forgot it.Of course I understand the feeling of people who don’t know how to deal with ashes cremation.

次に、歯の忘れ物です。入れ歯をしている人が、レストランでうっかり入れ歯を外し、紙に包んで机の上に置いていたところ、店員がゴミだと思って捨ててしまうパターンです。The next item which often is forgotten is an artificial tooth. I hear that people wrap an artificial tooth by tissue and leave it on the table, then restaurant staff make the mistake of throwing it away.

これはうっかりやってしまう忘れ物ですね。その忘れ物を未然に防ぐために、歯医者さんは患者さんに専用のケースも渡すそうです。The artificial tooth slipped from people’s mind.To prevent from it, dentist will give the case for the artificial tooth.
思いもよらなかった忘れ物の話が飛び出しました。しかもそれが日本と海外でどう違うのかがわかって、今回もとっても楽しい会になりました。次回はこれを英語でやるので、知らない単語を調べて望みたいです。We not only  enjoyed the extraordinary story but also we shared what is the difference between Japan and foreign countries.We will talk about the same theme in English so I should check the vocabulary.

昨日は歯から派生して、効果的な歯磨きの仕方まで聞いちゃいました。
みなさんの専門は他の人にとっては当たり前ではなく、とても貴重な情報です。また海外との比較もできるのでとても楽しいですよ。
