日本とのつながり72〜ストーンヘンジ 〜

イギリス南部に巨石でつくられた環状列石が見られる。
この巨石遺跡は紀元前3100年から前1100年頃に築かれたとされ、巨石が直径30mほどの円を描いている。
この場所では、太陽崇拝の祭祀や天文観測が行われたと考えられている。
使用されている石はこの場所から400kmも離れた場所で産出されるものもあり、その運搬方法は分かっていない。

実は日本にもストーンサークルが見られる。
秋田県北部に大湯環状列石がある。

イギリスと日本は遠く離れた場所に位置する。
そして、これらの遺跡ができたのは、古代という時間的な距離も隔てている。
それにもかかわらず、共通点が見られる。
もしかしたら、人類は円という形に特別な意味を感じてきたのかもしれない。

Connection with Japan 72-Stonehenge-

Ring stones made of megaliths can be seen in the south of England.
This megalithic site is said to have been built around 3100 BC to 1100 BC, and the megalithic stone draws a circle with a diameter of about 30 m.
It is believed that sun worship rituals and astronomical observations were conducted at this place.
Some of the stones used are produced 400km away from this site, and the transportation method is unknown.

Stone circles can be seen in Japan.
There are Oyu ring stones in the northern part of Akita Prefecture.

England and Japan are located far apart.
And these archaeological sites were created at a timely distance of ancient times.
Nevertheless, there are similarities.
Perhaps humankind has felt a special meaning in the shape of a circle.
